Clean Old-Fashioned Trade

Talk about sleeping with the enemy.

Keep in mind that’s with a QB who ran a lot more than he threw.

Wait…never mind.

  1. Serious question, does the kid really expect to play?! Maybe he’s just transferring for the better engineering school.

    • As a graduate of UGA Engineering, I love your remark! 😀

And yeah, I expect him to play. He seems like a good Colbie Young replacement. Big-bodied receiver.

  2. We’ve hit well on WRs in the portal the last couple of seasons. Let’s hope Canion can be our next Colbie, (mid season) Noah, or Zach Branch. Given his size, I’m guessing more of the first two.

    • We have continually reached for WR in the portal over the past 3 seasons. What does that say about our evaluation of recruiting WR and development?

CJ Wiley and Talon Taylor were big recruits but they are in the 3rd or 4th rotation. D. Bell is the recruited WR is 4th on the 2025 reception list, then Savoie White down at 12.
      Maybe go get Hines Ward.

  3. He is close with Gibson and Dinkins. They played together at Warner Robins. I’m sure that played a big part in his decision. Those three grew up playing travel basketball together too.

I would also think he would have gone to Georgia out of HS if he had been offered. He was kind of under the radar coming out of HS. I’m guessing he already has the blocking thing down from the WR position coming from the Tech offense…lol. Should help him see the field.

  4. The rotation of players in and out of the portal, from my standpoint, looks pretty good.

We’re keeping who we want. Chucking the rest over and picking up some nice pieces.

Not seeing any “oh shit, he left?” or why do we want this guy exactly?

I suspect we’ll be in this thing again next year. Not even Bobo can stop us.

    • Yeah, I like what I’m seeing so far from the portal. I think we’re getting better, and keeping the key parts. We were young this year and I’m optimistic about next year.
