And, from Georgia Dogs dot com, here is today’s “Game Program“.

The day starts off with the Egg Bowl. Followed by Clean Old-Fashioned Hate and we end the evening with the Lone Star Showdown. We’ll be tuned in to the first 2 games but, we’ll be leaving late afternoon to head to Sylvester to watch Worth County host Gordon Lee in the Single A Division 1 quarterfinals. I’ll leave it up to y’all to to get the necessary outcome from the late game. Don’t screw it up!

Go Dawgs!

  1. Hmm. My ACC Network shows the WSB (in other words, regular ESPN) broadcast. Hope because it will be on DVR.

  2. Otis, get it done in Slytown tonight.

I really hope this is the last time this game is played on Friday. Friday nights are for high school playoff football.

Who am I kidding? Now that ESPN sees the ratings, we’ll play on Friday every year going forward.

  3. So gators bailed on Kiffen. Lea and Dimwit locked down. Anybody checked on Brian Kelly’s whereabouts? Surely they won’t go there. I’d call the Gus Bus but here’s hoping they get another underwhelming hire.

  4. The spirit of “It’s just a game dog” is strong with the tech kick returner.

  5. That was grounding.

Really happy this game is on Friday and, I’m not keeping up with scores on other games.

  6. Is being the best Tech defender kinda like being the smartest kid in remedial class?

  7. Well…. That’s two weeks in a row gunner hasn’t seen the db sitting down across the middle and reading his eyes. Something on tape he’s showing maybe ??? Shake it off gunner let’s go

    • Either he didn’t see him or he thought Luckie was cutting in front. Either way, not ideal.

  8. Well, quit what was working. Back to old school Bobo 101. We cant survive in 3rd and long. Its when Stockton tends to throw it to the other team. Not sure what in the hell he saw on that play.

  9. There was just no other way this game was gonna start. Just let them score so we can.

  10. All the experts have been saying all week…Tech’s only chance is if Georgia turns it over a few times.
Good grief..pass the tums in the first quarter already.

  11. As Gunner gets more confident he seems more willing to try to do things with his arm he wasn’t trying early in the season. We had a lot of 3 and outs but didn’t turn it over. Bad decision there trying to thread that pass.

    • Me too..but I’d rather had the two our defense had stolen from them on GT’s first possession,

  12. Good hold by the D keeping them to 3. May that be their only score…

    • We’re not doing so well passing.
Frazier may break a long one the way he’s getting to the second level on his runs…But we need Gunner to settle ass down!

  13. I’m not usually for all ground and pound but I feel like that may be the answer against the GT team. Expose there depth and strength. Plus gunner is acting like he just got home from toppers lol

    • Might a “beat them up for 3 quarters and put it away in the 4th”. I hope.

  14. Im old. CMA Country Christmas ad and I don’t know who any of those people are.

  15. Someone tell me how every awful team GT plays can put up so many points and we cant? I am scared to death of even throwing the ball today.

  16. I do believe that 3rd down pass by King was another uncalled grounding penalty.

  17. Refs are horrible.
Gunner giving up on pass plays way to quick and running…
    Never seen him so nervous.

    • On that throw to the sideline (called incomplete of course) the defender was all over our receiver with his hand on his face…no call. Are these not ACC refs?

  18. Gunner to Branch! Lots of savvy by Gunner that drive. Did he under throw the first deep ball? Miss going deep on the next play? Under throw the back shoulder to Bell (which should have gotten a PI)? I’ll let the pro scouts worry about it. He wins his way.

  19. Idiot announcer called it a “neutral” site. Guess he hasn’t noticed ‘Georgia Tech’ is written on the turf in both end zones.

  20. Where’s Nolan Thomas ? Why can’t we get open ? Gunner seems nervous for some reason

  21. I appreciate McCray, but if we want to run them out of the building, Frazier and Bowens. They turn 2 into 6. Stop playing.

  22. Nick Frazier getting some!
He’s SOOOO close to breaking it all the way.

  23. Need 3 yards? Josh McCray will get you 3 yards.

Need 10 yards? Josh McCray will get you 3 yards.

  24. Glad the penalty went UGA’s way but Gunner… burn the ball when nobody is open and 20ssec on the clock.

  25. WTF?!?! How the fuck do you let all that time run off as if scoring doesn’t matter?

    Fucking stupid.

    • Kirby’s Achilles heal…end of 1st half clock management. Really infuriating. So what if Tech has 30 seconds after we score a TD?

Lemme guess. Our offense doesn’t score in the 3rd Q and Tech gets a TD. Texas redux.

  26. The Tech D is doing something to baffle Gunner. Can’t figure out what, but I hope Kirby and Bobo figure it out at halftime.

  27. Because Gunner seems to be somewhat spastic today, Bobo just ran the ball and it ate the clock…we ran out of time and had to settle for three.
I hope to hell the Gunner we all know and love comes out in the second half.

  28. Maybe Kirby can call the OCs for NC State and Pitt to find out how to attack this D.

  29. I stand by my comment. Gunner is lost today.

This is that Bobo offense that just cant get over the hump. We finally have good defense so we can afford to hang around until its ready… hopefully.

Glad we are playing a bad GT team.

    • That seems a little excessive, D. I’d credit Tech’s D and put more blame on Gunner than blame Bobo. At least so far today.

A normal Bobo game would be forcing the passes for balance. He’s running a lot because it’s working. Give him credit where it’s due.

  30. Gunner 4-10. That’s not on Bobo. Even Kirby said in halftime interview he’s got to settle down. He will.

Now if you tell me Bobo was responsible for the clock mismanagement those last two minutes I’m on board with firing him! 🤣

  31. My worthless eval… GT is taking away all of Bobo and Gunner’s short game. Gunner has no idea what to do. None. Run the damn football!!

  32. Get the horse beating gif out….Gunner just can’t throw the back shoulder pass.

  33. We going to win this one in the last minute, folks. Anyone that ever faces Bobo or Stockton again needs to mimic this gameplan. Stockton looks like hes never seen a football before.

  34. This offensive performance is absolutely atrocious!!! We have absolutely shit the bed on offense so far today. Hopefully our D can score or at least keep them from scoring too many more

  35. Yes, Gunner has the yips. But he’s still the QB. On 3rd & 17 you still need to go for a first down. Even if Faton Bauta is your QB.

Coaches showing zero confidence in Gunner. I don’t see how you win ‘anything’ with that mindset.

  36. This is maddening. GTs defense is kicking our ass. The only thing we can rely on is running the ball, and we absolutely refuse. Coaching malpractice. Not another f’n throw! Stockton is on drugs. GT is about to do that they do late in games. Score!

    • 1/6 plays were runs. How we gonna wear them down if we don’t run the ball it’s the only thing it’s been successful and all of a sudden we have abandoned it

  37. Yes, Gunner has the yips. But you gotta go for it on 3rd & 17. You try, even if Faton Bauta is your QB.

Coaches showing zero confidence in Gunner now. I don’t see how a team operates when you handicap your QB by pulling his chances for success away. Intentionally make him ineffective.

  38. 3rd and 17 screen, GT lives to beat UGA, they’ve been studying tape all year. Bobo goes for the most predictable play call. This in a nutshell is why I can’t ever get on board with Bobo being a great OC.

  39. Gunner ain’t got it today. Let’s shift to the “we RUN this state plan” please and thank you.

  40. Would rather see some throws to Delp and Luckie underneath than all these deep throws into coverage. TE’s have been abandoned today.

  41. We can’t hit an intermediate route with Branch, Humphries or a TE? WTF?!

  42. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again!!!

    BOBO IS A BOZO

We’ll never win a natty with him calling the plays. He’s too much of a bipolar play caller.

He did prove me wrong last year with a sec championship so maybe I’ll eat my words. Hopefully

    • > We’ll never win a natty with him calling the plays.

I’ve been saying this from the day he was named OC.

It sucks b/c I really like the guy. He is a DGD. He just is not an elite OC. Period.

      -Muckbeast

  43. 13 personnel and start pounding to set up a PA to Delp down the seam please.

  44. Put a helmet on Bobo and drag his ass around by the face mask. Then let Brent Key give him a wedgie. Then put him back in the box and see if he can figure something out.

  45. Is CMB incapable of scheming an 8 yard or so receiver open so Gunner can throw a simple completion to get his mojo back?

  46. I need Kirby to tell us all how tough the SEC is again. GT is not a good team at all. We shouldn’t even be in the top 15 after this shit show.

  47. Anyone remember back when the offense was playing great? Yeah, good times, good times

  48. Faulkner’s offense is really on fire tonight too. Two Monken disciples matching wits. It could come down to defense and special teams…

  49. An elite college OC for the #4 program in the nation would go aggressive here and take advantage of the fact their defense cannot afford to give up even a single first down. And in the process, either get points or quickly move to kneel down time.

    What will Bobo do?

He’ll go SUPER conservative and hope his superior players save his ass with a first down earned through sheer superior strength and skill. And in the process, possibly fail and punt with ~1:48 to go.

    -Muckbeast

      • No, it isn’t a terrible excuse. Did you watch the offensive line play after the redshirt freshman center went in? Obviously he has athletic ability but he missed a lot of blocks because he didn’t correctly read the defensive line play.

  50. For all of you Bobo fans out there, this is exactly what you get from him late season with everything on the line. I thought he might have finally moved past it, but his QB doesnt know what state he is in and his offense got embarrassed by an awful defense. We had no choice but to play hang on for dear life the second half. Best to be prepared for more of the same if we play again this season.

  51. 8IAR BITCHEZ! Erase the draught from the history books.

But Gunner and Bobo’s worst performance of the season. What a stupid game.

Think I’ll root for TAMU and bama.

  52. Absolutely no fucking excuse for it coming down to the last play but…….

    I LOVE EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!

    HEY WIKIPEDIA NERDS:

Longest win streak Georgia Tech, 8 (1949–1956)
Current win streak Georgia, 7 (2017–present)

    UPDATE IT!!!!!!!!! =>

Longest win streak Georgia, 8 (2017–present), Georgia Tech, 8 (1949–1956)
Current win streak Georgia, 8 (2017–present)

    -Muckbeast

  53. Finishing the game with three freshmen on the OLine is not what you hope to see. Olay blocking makes everything difficult. Glad to see the defense continues to grow up getting better every week.

    • Absurd excuse.

Recruiting comparisoin. Total 4 and 5 stars over the last 5 years:

      UGA: 109
      Tech: 15

A handful of injuries shouldn’t turn us into Gardner Webb.

      • I saw three freshmen get their ass kicked on that final drive. Results matter more than recruiting stars. Georgia won and are going to the playoffs. I’ll take that every season. Just keep winning that’s all that matters.

      • Professor, you may have expertise in posting on the internet but you have no clue about the nuances of Power 4 conference offensive line play. The center has the pre-snap responsibility of recognizing what the d line and linebackers are going to do, communicate that to the guards and tackles, make the snap and get in position to engage a moving defensive lineman while trying to coordinate with other other blockers’ movements. Tolliver has athletic talent and potential but hasn’t had the experience that Bobo had.

  54. Noah Thomas and the TEs MIA tonight, no shallow crosses, digs, or quick outs after Gunner’s int, Frazier going into witness protection in the second half and we still won. Let’s hope Gunner and CMB have gotten their worst game out of their system. Post season going to be a wild ride.

  55. Georgia Tech 2025

    Points allowed – Team

    48 – NC State
    34 – Boston College
    28 – Pittsburgh
    29 – Wake Forest
    24 – Temple
    21 – Clemson
    20 – Colorado
    20 – Virginia Tech
    18 – Duke
    16 – Syracuse
    16 – Georgia
    12 – Gardner-Webb

Jesus christ. We barely beat out Gardner-Webb. Syracuse was in the Tech home stadium.

    -Muckbeast

  56. Stop using a couple injuries as a justification for this bullshit.

    Last 5 recruiting classes:

    Georgia (UGA)

    5-star recruits: 21 total
    4-star recruits: 88 total
    Total 4+5 stars: 109

    Georgia Tech

    5-star recruits: 0 total
    4-star recruits: 15 total
    Total 4+5 stars: 15

    • Muckbeast, You are a fucking saviant……..(s)
everybody has a bad day sometimes

    • Georgia won that’s the only stat that matters. I’m here to enjoy every single win. I’m not about be upset because they didn’t cover the spread or look good enough winning. I choose to enjoy the winning streak against tech and leave the problems to those in positions to effect change.

    • Jesus H. Christ. This win made you so miserable you had to go search the internet to count recruiting stars.
Go do something more enjoyable. You don’t have to spend any more time convincing us you are unhappy.

      • Bro, I love our players – my fellow alumni. And it is a disgrace for them to put their bodies on the line every week and Kirby Smart refuses to hold his OC to the same standard.

That’s why this makes me mad.

I honestly don’t give a single fuck if we win another natty.

We got 2. I feared we would never get one in my lifetime.

That title over Bama, and that undefeated 2022-2023 season with that unreal TCU game…… I’m good as a fan.

But damn do I hate seeing this shit for our players.

They deserve the best available coaches and Kirby is letting them down.

That hurts. That’s sad. That’s tragic.

    • I agree completely, but you forgot to include the x factor in the equation: Brent Key is an angry mf’er who lives to destroy anything related to UGA.
I would swear their last three games before tonight were so bad because he had them prepping for us.

  57. I’d like to know who is responsible for choosing which RB is in the game at any particular time. Cash Jones on 4th and 1 off tackle (should be McCray)? Josh McCray on a toss sweep (Should be Frazier)? Nate Frazier up the middle over and over (Should be Josh McCray)? Seems like they don’t have the correct RB in the game to match the playcall. Also, Frazier was hot in the 1st half, but didn’t seem to touch the ball as much in the 2nd half. What gives? Don’t believe in going with the hot hand?

  58. Ummmm…not quite willing to throw Gunner and Bobo under the bus. We were running well until Bobo jr. went out. Looked like a 300yd grind em into dust game even though it has been clear that Key has spent the last three games prepping for the Dawgs. Initially it was clear that the zone GT was playing was something Gunner hadn’t seen; so Bobo went run heavy and it was the right call. Yes, maybe it was something that should have been anticipated but maybe it was completely new. Also, Lots of PI/holding not called against their DBs. Bottom line; I’m waiting for the film guy to breakdown the all-22 before I go full Bobo/Gunner hate.

    • TEs were under utilized the entire game, crossing route weren’t run, etc. GT a mediocre D at best turned UGA 1 dimensional.

      GT in the ACC,
      Scoring D 11th
      Rush D 15th
      Pass D 11th
      Total D 13th

      • Hear all y’all…just waiting for someone a bit more knowledgeable with actual real film to engage the issue…I know it’s crazy but I just think that if Kirby usually says that he needs to see film to fully understand, maybe I shouldn’t jump to emotional conclusions.

      • That was the baffling thing to me. Did Coley call the plays? So many throws to the sidelines.

    • Yes. I hate to have to wait until Monday to see the breakdown and hear the explanations. This win was the opposite of the Texas game… but we still won. And Key is still a winless POS who needs to get a life. Focus on winning the almost competitive conference, not on us… Sheesh!

  59. Yeah, the Bobo critics are right! If we just had an OC who had the 5th best total offense in the country and the 19th best scoring offense in the country (over 35 points per game!)

Oh shit, that guy only got 3 field goals today.

    • But he didn’t call good plays to match the prior games that created the success you referenced.

So….a stupid comment on your part? Yes.

And Bobo is mediocre overall? Yes, for exactly the Reason you just watched.

  60. This game started well with the Dawgs’ defense seemingly gettin to King for a safety..and being robbed of it by the officials (I think….it looked like intentional grounding but they never showed much replay of it. I’d like to hear other’s opinion on it.)…But if so that’s likely 9 points off the scoreboard and the start of the easy win we were all hoping for.
What we’re missing here is the GREAT GAME THE D PLAYED…They kept GT out of the end zone today. Well done!
There were a lot of no calls on GT’s d backs..but the refs seemed almost fair until the fourth when they really helped out GT with some ridiculous PI calls. We got somewhat hosed by the refs but it could have been worse…I figured they’d already planned to call PI on the last play Hail Mary by Tech..that they didn’t may mean they actually have an honest bone in their bodies.
But the Dawgs biggest problems were Gunner’s inexplicably terrible game and the loss of our great offensive center. Gunner’s spasmodic play caused Georgia to be one dimensional on offense and Bobo’s injury took that dimension away. It sucked…It sucked….it did..because we all know how much better UGA is than GT.
    Still, it’s a win and it’s a big 8 in a row win!
Next year we get to kick their asses for the 9th time in a row…at home.
Tech fans are claiming a moral victory…two years in a row…Just tell them that at Georgia, we don’t celebrate moral victories but scoreboard ones.

    • But But But, I was told Drew Bobo didn’t deserve a scolly and it was all nepotism, Am I doing that right??
