Erk is from Birmingham. Ensley if you want to be hyper-technical. And Vince is from Mobile. So in reality, nothing good has come out of Lee County, but it does have two directions of I-85 to escape on.
(Fwiw, I went to a game there two years ago (thank God for Brock Bowers!) and the place is vastly improved over what it was when I was in school.)

I think that the Pirate deserves consideration, as he took Hal Mumme’s air raid offense and turned it into a winner at TT, WSU & MSU – well, somewhat. The change to 59.5% winning also opens the door for Les Miles, even after the vacated wins.

Its a gimmick offense that turns abject losers into a respectable mediocrity that declares then declares victory.

Does it make the game more interesting that teams that suck come up with new ways to move the ball? Sure. There is some value in it for drawing up some ball plays.
