My, what passes for reasons to celebrate in the ACC is, well, just damned confusing sometimes.
Yes, that’s the actual Georgia Tech Football Twitter. Yes, as best as I can tell, this is not a joke. Celebrating a 7-6 season is some heavy lifting, but creating a ring that contains some strange elements to it is another…let’s start with something:
- Tech went 5-1 at home, not 5-0. Editor’s note: The loss was at MBS, but hey, they protected the Flats against pesky GSU and VMI, so I’ll give them credit for that.
- They actually celebrated a win over what would eventually be a 2-10 FSU team. And have memorialized it for eternity.
- The Georgia Tech letters in the end zone are in the wrong relationship to the image.
Top it off that you left off the results of the Birmingham Bowl, where you lost to Vandy.
This is a bad look, even for Tech.
So pathetic. Re the 5-0 though, it’s referring to the record at Mark Richt Field. They lost to Notre Dame at MBS.
Celebration of 7-6 record with a participation trophy is soooooo “Chantastic”…Gawd help us should nerdfootball go back to back 7-6 seasons or even…..8-5, Holy Shit, the fall out!
Noted and updated. Glad they were able to ward off VMI, Ga State, Duke, NC State, and Miami. Sigh.

AI fake? Let’s hope so. But that gets me thinking (always dangerous I know)….won’t AI be able to assist if not replace an OC in the near future. It will know all the stats and run probabilities in the blink of an eye before each play.
Two things:
-Now we know why GT moved the Georgia game to MBS next year, they’ve got a home winning streak to continue.
-I wonder what percentage of GT fans will get indignant if one of these shows up on eBay.
