Brush with greatness, Mitch Frix (Ty’s Dad and also a long snapper at Georgia) was my Fraternity brother.

There has never been a better 3 (and a little bit more) quarters of play than we got from Robert Edwards between the second half of the opener vs. South Carolina and the beginning of the next weeks game in Knoxville in 1995.
And yes that includes Herschel.
Before the foot gave out, dude was averaging two tds a quarter and over 10 yards a touch.

RIP, Paul.

Robert Edwards (and Tramel Terry) is the reason I would never let my kid play in a football all-star game. Both of them lost promising careers as a result of a meaningless exhibition. In the case of Edwards, it was a beach flag football game.
