“And so the same opportunity is going to present itself “

Kirby Smart inserts himself into the CFP conversation:

I’d expect nothing more from our head coach. God bless him. He’s a competitor, and we are beyond blessed to have him as our head coach.

  1. Here’s the difference between teams built on recruiting vs. the portal … There was no reason for a number of our guys to play in the game vs. FSU, but they did. If Brock had been healthy, he would have likely been out there as well.

  2. Kirby trains them like the Marine’s train their men, it’s little “u” big “TEAM”. I believe Erk had that as a t-shirt.

  3. I had zero complaints about us not being in the playoffs. We had our shot and blew it.

That said, if we had been in it, we probably would be sitting on a 3-peat.

    • I don’t whine about it, but the committee proved how corrupt of logic they are. We were one of the four best and everybody knows it.

  4. Kirby can say this because he knows that he has a shot of making it (and winning the whole enchilada) EVERY… SINGLE… YEAR. Many of the whiners out there, both coaches and their media lackeys, whose teams miss out will bitch and moan because they realize they may have just missed their only shot in their careers.

  5. Contrast that with Ryan Day whining for literally months about some perceived bad calls in the CFP semi final year before last.

    • I just hung out at a pool party and met an osu alum. He said “we grew up with a shrine to Woody Hayes in our living room.” I asked what he thot about Ryan Day. He paused and looked at me for a few seconds and then said “my parents still have the shrine to Woody Hayes in the living room.” LOL eff Ryan Day and his box of Kleenex.
