  1. Thanks again Otis for the program. It’s important to be cussin’ the right guy when patience wears thin. Love the button too

  2. Thank you YouTube…

…Let’s get the 3rd &long dammit Bobos going but it was the 2nd down screen that fooled no one. Dumb penalties kill the best of drives. Good to see Woodring is ON. Colbie limping off not good.

      • We can stop the run and most sideline deep passes on everyone. We can’t stop a running QB nor one who hits quick outs, slants and in the flats. At least until the 2nd half. Inquiring minds want to know why.

  3. Can someone please explain why Cash Jones gets in the game? Does his concrete Barron parents pay Bobo big time money? I do not get it.

    • He does some things well. He understands the offense and what the defense is doing . He is good in pass protection because of his physical ability plus what I specified in the previous sentence. He is fast and a good receiver out of the backfield. Those things have value. He is not an SEC level runner from scrimmage, however. The dilemma is that it you only play him for passing plays then it would be like posting on the scoreboard, “it is a pass!” So we half to run him on occasion to avoid the defense knowing exactly what we have planned to run.

      .

    • I typed almost the same post but just deleted it.
      Head scratcher…
At least we put up 7.

    • I think that was the point; it was 2nd and 3. If Cash throws it away like I’m sure he was coached, it’s 3rd and 3.

  4. Looks like Bob had a cup of coffee and hopefully some Wheaties.

Schumann looks to be munching on donut holes.

  5. My kingdom for an OL holding call. I mean, our guys have enough trouble trying to get to the qb…

    • For the life of me I don’t understand how we play man concepts while standing 30 feet away from the receivers. Does anyone jam anymore?

      • Just a guess. Our CBs have shown in practice that if they jam the receivers the receivers will recover and run past them. I have never been to practice so I don’t know but I will bet our former All SEC DB and championship winning DB coach and defensive coordinator head coach has a clue.

  6. How we actually try a blitz? Can’t be any worse result than we’re getting so far…

  7. OK….so our offense basically can do no wrong and our defense is porous? Can’t believe I just typed that!

      • Oh yeah, I’m having that text with an OM friend right now. “Nuhuh, my defense sucks more than your defense!”

    • The defensive power house known as ole miss has held us to a couple of field goals.

      • Fair. Perhaps I should say, how many season has it been since we have seen a Smart coached team miss so many tackles

        • Agree that it’s a problem we haven’t seen in past years.. Maybe the second half will be better..like against Auburn. I hope so. But this O’Ms offense is a lot better than Auburn’s.

          • It is better than Auburn’s. It is better Alabama’s? Serious question, not snark.

          • Likely they’re close.

Ole Miss Rush D is 14th in the SEC.

If this UGA D could tackle in the open field anything like Smart’s earlier UGA defenses, UGA would be leading despite the crap coverage.

  8. This is the worst excuse for a defense that I’ve seen in a while. I look forward to reading about how Bobo lost the game for us.

    • The remake of the 85 bears defense known as ole miss has held us to a couple of field goals. We’ve had the ball more times and we have less points.

    • Not sure how that was PI. His hand brushed the shoulder pad as the WR was diving. Some weak shit.

  9. Anyone got an extra defensive stop they’re not using? Asking for a friend.

    • Schuman doesn’t know what that is. He plays bend until you break defense

  10. Did anyone see PI on that? I see defensive players literally mugging receivers in every game I watch and it doesn’t get called..and now we get ticky tacked like that??? Is Penn Wagers officiating?

  11. Jeebus watching our “defense” is a chore. What the hell happened to us?

  12. On a positive note, it’s taken them nearly an entire half to score 21. Tenn put that up on us in 1 quarter. If that ain’t progress…

  13. Shumann clueless again. Has our DB’S giving 10 yards of cushion on 3rd and short. No outside contain. Zero sacks. Hit knife through butter. Kirby has to go in at the half again…look at film, and set the defense right.

    • Kirby needs to take the D away from CGS. We can find someone else to recruit LBs

  14. Bobo hasn’t been the problem but, the runs have squandered enough time to cost 2 plays maybe 3. Granted if Schumann was doing a mediocre job we’d be happy with a FG.

  15. Any chance that Kirby tells Schumann to take an Uber home at the half and James Franklin is his driver?

  16. I love Kurt Herb Street, oh no wait a minute, that guy sucks. But anyway, I think if I was an ABC producer on this fine program, I might send a note down for him to maybe mention -once – that our D line is not the only one having issues today
In this game. Just a thought.

  17. Zebras are taking something personal out on us today. It’s for sure an agenda. I’m not being sarcastic. It truly appears that way to me. I’m sorry they missed the “time out” last week, but that was their fault. What a crooked ass system college football can be sometimes. Why they want to help Kiffin is beyond me. He’s a total freaking tool.

    • While I agree that the officiating has lacked some objectivity today ..the PI call in the endzone was pure bullshit…(to be civil about it) However the large problem is our defense. It is porous and not nearly physical enough.
      But yeah…
O’Ms scored a TD on all three of their possessions..100 Percent….we had them stopped for a FG on that last one, but the refs awarded them a first down with an imaginary PI call. Now they get the ball first with a lead. If we can’t get a few stops we lose.. And stops are looking very hard to come by.

  18. I’m gonna file for a trademark on “Bend until you break defense”. Thanks Glenn

  19. Well we should have had a touchdown at the end of the half. But if we make our usual halftime adjustments we ought to be in good shape. At least we moved the ball and scored. Not something we done much in the first half in the last two seasons.

  20. Thought it was the boat making me seasick but we’re still docked…it’s our defense that is nauseating. Bobo calling a good game by throwing in some new wrinkles. Has the two TE stacked formation working that Monken loved. Gunner is a gamer but just can’t seem to see the deep patterns open up. That’s costing us 4-8 points.

Like last week I’ve got to believe Schumann and Kirby send more pressure on that young QB who will miss some passes but that big dude of theirs scares me. Need a turnover from the D to flip the scoring. Oy.

  21. So the adjustment is to have the secodary 10 years off the WRs at the snap? Allow an underneath pass to go 75 without a single tackler getting an angle despite keeping the play in front of them??????

  22. Our DB didn’t event try to pull the flag off of the reciever’s belt on that long TD.

  23. Holy shit. Why are we playing a prevent defense? DBs are so far off the line any blind asshole could complete a pass on us. This is coaching malpractice.

  24. Can Chauncey Bowens play DB? Or coach DB’s? Asking for a friend..

  25. Thank Gawd Bobo has found his mojo today. Well, until the 2 point try…

  26. Welp…D answer was to blitz and got burned. Anyone ever witness Grantham and Schumann in the same room at the same time? Just where is Ol Todd?

  27. I don’t recall ever seeing an opposing O go for 5 yd’s on there first 5 possessions.

    GS has to go

  28. We came in ranked 82nd in 3rd down stop rate. Wonder if we get to 100 after today. Sheesh.

  29. A dental floss thong bikini bottom has better coverage then out DBs
Maybe let the scout team guys have a shot. They can’t play any worse.

3rd and Schumann has to be added to the Lexicon. It is most definitely a real thing.

  30. Well, so far we’ve turned Ty Simpson, a career backup, and Chamblis, a JUCO Qb, into Heisman candidates

  31. Anybody think to see what Washington State did to slow down this offense? Lol…I can really only laugh now.

  32. Every team Georgia has had the same offensive plan.
And every team left will too.
It’s frustrating…and this team is young..however the lack of physicality on defense is disturbing.
It’s hard to believe that in three quarters we haven’t had one single stop against O’Ms…really not even close.
All of these QBs we face seem to be able to throw darts and their receivers catch everything!
It’s uncanny as it is frustrating.
If O Ms gets even one stop on us, I think we’ll be toast.

  33. We need 3 more TDs and 3 2-pt conversions if we hope to win. And we need to score with time expiring.

  34. Welp. This is where we find a way to win. Surely the law of averages is in our D’s favor.

  35. We have the better multidimensional offense…and we’re down two scores after 3 quarters. Fire somebody!

  36. Put your foot on the gas Bobo. The D ain’t gonna bail you out of this one.

    • It’s out of Bobo’s hands if OMS scores every time they have the ball…impossible to catch them if that’s the case..and so far it is.

  37. Sad to think that it might be the Dawgs trying to spoil GT’s season at CMR Field this year…OUCH..roles will be reversed!

      • Wow.
I was musing on what could be and still may be if we don’t tighten up the defense.
        Sorry it upset you.
        Try this Karen

And remember you’re going to go through this once every month.

  38. If this comes down to a D stop and a last second Woodring FG I’m good with that.

  39. Need the stop, then the 8 minute manball death drive, then a big play from the D to end this one.

  40. I personally witnessed the Carl Torbush, John Bunting, and Larry Fedora eras at UNC and this defense today is as bad if not worse than any of those.

  41. Well, Pretty Boy just showed he’s human and threw and in-completion
And just like that, O’MS will have to wake up their punter..

  42. So we’ve gone from the offense not getting a 3rd down conversion until the 4th qtr to the D not getting a stop until the 4th qtr.

I hope Bobo can keep this offense going.

  43. I am sick of the word resilient and miss dominant.

Why not go for 2 there? No diff between 4 or 5 point lead in what is coming down to one more chance for each offense.

    • It would have been 6 point lead with a made 2-pt conversion. 5 or 6 point lead doesn’t matter, but 4 or 5 does.

      • Yeah…math is hard. Thinking we’d have 42 not 41. I’ll blame the sea air.

  44. Isn’t this the time of the game that the band should play the Imperial March?

  45. We couldn’t stop them all night..now two stops in a row and needing a third..
Hunker ’em down one more time!

  46. I can’t believe it! 3 stops in a row after going all morning, day, afternoon and evening without 1.

  47. Gunner may be figuring this shit out. Really impressive second half of football.

      • He has been doing that all along.

The consistent passing accuracy in the second half was pretty brand spanking new.

  48. With the game on the line we did what we had to with. Didn’t get many stops but we got the ones that counted. Go Dawgs!

  49. Well it’s about time Kirby and crew took our advice!

Use of 3 TEs by Bobo and stacking them on the line is just plainly sexy.

Schumann discovers both blitzing AND playing tight coverage affexcts these young QBs.

    Had it all the way.

  50. Miami is prepping a $10 million check for Gunner if he’s interested in playing there in 2026.

      • Yeah…send them over to my house and I’ll do everything in my power to keep them away from the team…Somebody has to step up and volunteer to do this.

  51. Gunner is clutch when things are on the line..
The Ole Ms. QB ….not so much.
But not one turnover by either team in the game…both offenses were very well prepared…

  52. Texas Tech boosters are about to find out how Bobby Lowder feels.

  53. While we were bitching about our stupid defensive staff Ole Miss gain 150 yards fewer than it’s average per game and 2 points fewer than it’s average per game.

      • I get it. So look at yards per play. Mississippi averaged 6.93 yards per play before our game. We held it to 5.85 yards per play yesterday. Not great but better than it’s other competition. LSU held it to 5.71.
I would have loved to have held it to zero yards but if, before the game, I promised you we would hold Kiffin to more than a yard per play below its average you would have said, “Great!”

    • Good point…but they haven’t exactly played a real tough schedule (compared to Georgia’s at least) and Georgia holding the ball so long cut into their offensive production..but yeah..150 yards short of their average is surprising. I loved the 4th quarter but I’m not going to pretend the defense was very effective for those first three quarters.
I’m not mad at them or down on them..it’s just what it is. All of this has to be pushing them along the learning curve, though…at least I hope so.
