  1. Giving up 5 td’s, all on long drives, is no way to do defense. CGS has to fix this or go away.
The equivalent would be the O going 3 and out on the first 5 possessions.

    • How about 11 plays for 12 yards in the 4th quarter. Is that any way to do defense?

      • Yeah, that is a fantastic way to do defense. Why should it take 6 possessions for even a sniff of that kind of performance? Is that acceptable?

        • I like that we can do it at the end of the game, but I’d like it better if we adjusted a little quicker. Clearly we win the fourth quarter almost all the time. TV talking heads were saying Ole Miss players were gassed, and they looked like it. We were stepping on the gas on both sides of the ball. But let’s not wait so long in Jax.

    • I think we should all remember that our defense was going up against one of the best offensive minds in all of college football.

    • Absolutely agree on both fronts. Loved seeing the TE’s so involved too

    • Anyone ever stopped to think that the TEs were being counted on for blocking when we had people down on the OL? It’s hard to run a route when the OL needs blocking help. We’re somewhat healthy on the OL tonight and the TEs got in the passing game. It’s really a simple explanation.

      • This right here but Bobo was slow to make this adjustment in the previous games. Mostly missing against Bama as I recall. Water over the damn.

  2. Really nice to see us rediscover that we have tight ends as useful offense tools.

  3. Well, unlike most games the past two seasons the offense actually showed up early. And while the defense was giving up a touchdown on every Ole Miss possession we at least made them work a little bit. Their drives were eleven plays, fourteen plays, etc. Our offense had a chance to rest before going back out. Gunner is still missing some open deep routes but I’m not going to complain about his performance today. With the game on the line the defense finally came up with three consecutive stops. Good work Dawgs!

  4. “I told the guys that was a culture win. Because we don’t win that game if we’re not physically tough and mentally tough,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “We call it ‘hard to kill.’ And the one thing about is we’re hard to kill.”

They are damn hard to kill. I absolutely love how resilient they are (even if Herbie overuses that term)

    • That’s exactly how I would describe Bama at Saban’s height. They were like Michael Myers. They never would go away and crawl in a hole.

  5. Does anybody know why ESPN literally halted their broadcast and advertising to allow a live view of Dixieland Delight tonight? And how did Sean McDumma keep his moth shut for three whole minutes?

    • Mizzou was in range for chip shot FG to end the game with about 35 seconds left. But they didn’t run the clock down a little and take the win. Instead, they took the next 20 seconds to lose about 20 yards and then threw an interception. I almost hope Auburn wins.

  6. We play that hard we’ll win another National Championship Bobo superlative except Cash up the middle on third and long (some kind of James Bond crap) but damn these kids know they can beat anyone and guys Kirby knows too Carson was our weak link last year Gunner is a bad ass. I would not want to tackle him

  7. le croissant de la victoire a si bon goût ce matin et Fuck the turds!

  8. And my God they are catching the ball. Shouldn’t be so hard on Carson. It would have been a different season but damn I think we might have a shot these guys are really good ya’ll look around who’s better?

    • I wont blame Carson for the drops last year, but I will blame him for his lack of leadership and his attitude. That was on full display Friday night when he threw his TE under the bus for his 4th pick of the game. A true leader takes responsibility, regardless of the situation. And it sure seems to me that this team plays a hell of a lot harder for Gunner than they ever did for Beck.

  9. It’s amazing how Wade Wilson isn’t here to share his knowledge of football with us when the offense doesn’t commit a turnover and never punts.
