You Got Chocolate in My Peanut Butter

Somewhat predictably, yesterday’s Senior Bowl featured Arian Smith catching a deep ball, although if the intended pass was a back shoulder fade of sort, then it was a dandy pass and catch.

So much for just being a great practice highlight, Arian likely improved his draft potential enormously this week, and I for one am all for it. Also, Dan Jackson made a highlight as well:

In case you missed it, the high point was Jack Bech catching the walk-off touchdown, a month after he lost his brother, Tiger, in the New Orleans tragedy that unfolded before the Sugar Bowl:

Glad to see our Dawgs shine, and what a wonderful way to finish the last college football game of the 2024 season. Go Dawgs!

  1. Senior Bowl WR coach: Hey Smith! Catch it with your hands and bring it in to your body.

    AS: Ohhhhhh…that works!

  2. I watched the game and they all played well. Not sure if Mondon or Jackson ever left the field, which says a lot about what the coaches thought of them. TID had a great TFL that the announcers failed to mention because they were busy with a pre-planned narrative about some D-II OL. He played great though. Etienne had trouble finding holes, much like last year, lol. Arian’s catch was good, although I’m sure coaches would prefer if he caught it with his hands instead of against his body. He had a fumble too, even though replay would have reversed it. Keep working with those jugs machines, Arian!
