Glad to see him get recognition.
I am surprised Stan Bounds and Danny Buggs weren’t already in the HOF. Bounds was the QB of the Valdosta Wildcat team considered for years by some commentators as the greatest high school team ever.
Freddie Gilbert & Willie Gault @ Griffin HS were two bad mofos back in the day. The Grip was always a state contender back in the day. Lord, they put out some talent in football and hoops (Joe Ward for one)!!!
I guess you know Griffin has put more players in the NFL than any other high school in Georgia, plus 2 (Rayfield Wright and Morris Stroud) from Fairmont?
