To Be a Fly on the Wall

I’d love to hear any level of conversation that would go down between two of this weekend’s Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Inductees.

If it gets heated, I’d love to see Kirby signal for a time out.

Congrats to Coach Smart, and well deserved. Also noticed Lindsay Scott and Robert Edwards were on the list of inductees. DGDs.

Here’s the list of 2025 inductees:

  1. Damn Good Ram … Robert Toomer. Everyone knew he was getting the ball, and teams rarely stopped him.

I hope Kirby makes it to the event.

  2. I am surprised Stan Bounds and Danny Buggs weren’t already in the HOF. Bounds was the QB of the Valdosta Wildcat team considered for years by some commentators as the greatest high school team ever.

  3. Freddie Gilbert & Willie Gault @ Griffin HS were two bad mofos back in the day. The Grip was always a state contender back in the day. Lord, they put out some talent in football and hoops (Joe Ward for one)!!!

    • I guess you know Griffin has put more players in the NFL than any other high school in Georgia, plus 2 (Rayfield Wright and Morris Stroud) from Fairmont?

  4. There should be a rule that if you go out of state to play football, you’re disqualified.
