Tip of the Cap to Russell Henley

Good show, Dawg.

Seemed to have a good thing going until he hit the second nine. Seemed to jump up and get Justin Rose, too.

Also, in case you missed it, this was a chef’s kiss homage to the Masters. This guy sounds so much like Jim Nantz, too.

Bravo. Bravo. I also saw a joke online that said “this was the second Masters in row where the SEC didn’t take home the trophy. This is the result of what happens when NIL allows everyone to pay players instead of paying them under the table”. – The Athletic, probably.

  1. Henley hit a shot of a lifetime into 10 green, and should have made the putt. Then his drive and approach into 11 were both spot on, and he missed that makeable putt as well…very unlike him. He was right where he needed to be, but could not close. DGD!!

    • I was glad to see him go for it, unlike Chip Beck who laid up on 15 when he had his one and only shot in 1993.

Henley was playing for the win, rather than playing for a top 10.
