I heard that crap for so long, it really started to get on my nerves.
I cannot remember how many games our walk-on just took the game on his shoulders in the 4th quarter and just refused to let GA lose.

What gets on mine are those who act like the skepticism about Stet beating bama was misplaced or overwrought. He played horrible for 170 minutes vs. bama. He had two starts and the first 50 minutes of the natty and they were bad. The final 10 made all the difference. But up until that drive that led to Mitchell’s td, he was a liability against alabama. Its just the way it is. To close that out and then run the table the next year is what makes him a legend. The trepidation, mine included, about Stet vs. bama was not nonsense. Now the next year, Stet was legit. Being the guy and going to work in the offseason changed everything. I wish he had gotten another shot at those bastards his last year. I think we would have run them.

I remember waking up in Indy and as I was coming to and putting together that shit really happened the night before, I cried like a damn infant. Long time coming. So much heartbreak, so many disappointments, the almosts and the wtff’s… Decades of swift kicks in the nuts…. I had gotten to the point that I wasn’t sure that we weren’t just fucking cursed I was going to wriggle off the mortal coil remembering 11 year old me watching 34 win over ND and say, “well, we got 4 in a row coming because who is stopping that guy? You’d better bring some kryptonite!” Over time I came to wonder whether there would always be something in our way. Then after we clipped Cincy and assessed what we had coming back and what others had, I predicted we’d win it all the next year, nearly a year ahead of time. I booked my room. Hell I booked two rooms. I said to myself with that defense and JT Daniels who can stand against us? And then its Bennett…fuck… He can beat everyone with that roster ….but bama? Against bama he’s awful. And who is there waiting? Bama!
To have that defense keep that guy in the game and then to have him step up cash the ticket in when all looked to be lost… again!!! Just too fucking much… If you wrote it down, they’d call it fiction. Holifuck. Burn every single fucking copy of Rudy.
