Anyone know what year the Legion Field pic is from?
Early 90’s. I remember seeing Live there when I was living in Creswell.
Here is an incomplete list of the acts I remember seeing there when I was at UGA. 81 through 85: Swimming Pool Qs, English Beat, The Alarm, Psychedelic Furs, Guadalcanal Diary, Alex Chilton, REM Fables tour with an enormous crowd, The Fleshtones. I’m sure I probably forgot a few. It was a privilege to have been there and seen what I saw.
I remember walking up for the REM gig and thinking “The Bryds” are playing!
Lots of fun memories from Brumby, Russell and Creswell plus the original (revoltin’) Bolton Dining Hall. Having Legion Field and the swimming pool nearby was pretty cool.
I could get a halfway decent view of the bands from my top floor dorm in Hill. Crank open the window and enjoy. Good times.
This doesn’t appear to be the OutKast concert I attended in 2001 at Legion Field!😂
Dave Chappelle was on a tour right before he started filming the first season of Chappelle show. he showed up at Legion Field and did a hilarious show in August 2022. Seems surreal now.
