UGASports has a nice summary of Bulldawg highlights from the past week’s pro action, which can be found here.
If you’re not much for reading, then here’s a few neat clips from the past weekend. First, Stetson was back, and throwing interceptions (4) a good bit. Good news, he looked loose, comfortable, and found some rhythm at times. Mind you he won’t be slated to start anytime soon, as he’s likely third string after Jimmy G’s suspension is over, but I think we’ve seen that show before, my friends, so you know how it can go.
Anyway, Stetson got it together and dialed in a nice sidearm game winner in the closing moments of the game:
McVay looks like he’s genuinely rooting for the guy, and not in the “he’s a Ram” kind of way. That smile and low five both looked like a shared enthusiasm between the two people who have a clear focus on Stetson’s health and enjoying the game again. Pretty cool afterwards, too:
Meanwhile, in Oakland, Bowers got some touches. Kind of neat look for him to be lined up in front of Zeus.
Talk about a name I wasn’t expecting to pop up on the highlight reels, Kearis made some nifty plays in special teams!
There’s several more in the article, but just sharing some of the nifty highlights that popped up over the weekend.
Go Dawgs!
Happy about all of them. Nothing Stetson does surprises me. I was particularly glad to see a Kearis Jackson highlight.
Hopefully, Stet was “rusty.” He looked good at times. Those picks were really ugly. Definitely, N(ot)F(or)L(ong) types of decisions.
A year out of the game will do that to a person.
Even after 4 interceptions, Coach McVey’s enthusiasm and joy for Stet was pretty awesome to see. Feels like he sees something special in Stet and is willing to give him the chance to make the most of it.
Good move by the OC to get #89 out in space, did/will #52 on defense get an ear full for biting on the play action, leaving #89 by hisself…GO DAWGS!
Stetson Fucking Bennett t-shirts should sellout in LA.
