  1. Seeing those UGA buses took me back to the middle 70s when I was a student. For no particular reason, lately I’ve been trying to remember what all the bus routes were. I remember north/south, east/west, orbit, and express. Does anyone remember any others from back then?

Who knows what the routes are today?

  2. “Going back to a simpler place and time”….#CLASSICCITY!!

  3. When I moved here in 1984 Athens was basically dead in the summer and it was that way until the mid-90’s.

    • It’s still really dead in the summer, even with the few summer sessions for classes. A lot of times it is wise to call places and verify their summer hours. Athens is GLORIOUS in the summer less 40K students running around.

  4. I did three summers in Athens and other than fall, it was definitely my favorite season there. It was a much smaller population and there was a sense of togetherness with everyone that was different than any other time of the year. Classes were laid back, driving was a breeze, and basically you could find a pool to hang at with great scenery most any day of the week. It was a tough pill to swallow when I had to go to work the other summers…still is!!

  5. Unsurprisingly, the UCLA series has been canceled. UCLA is replacing us with Utah, and we’re playing Marshall. It’s not like they are replacing us with a cupcake. I was really looking forward to going to Pasadena.

    Ugh.

I’m sure we’ll find a great opponent for a non-return OOC game, or we’ll agree to travel for a 9th conference game for 2026.

    Thanks for nothing,Texas & Oklahoma.
