I have a unique idea…maybe give it to the coach with the feeest transfers added and lower NIL spending. But, I’m sure they’ll give it to Cigaretti, anyway. I’m thinking Diego left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth about Vanderbilt, and who doesn’t love a Cinderella story like Indiana, right?

You know what or who people don’t like?

Day doesn’t even get a mention. And he doesn’t deserve to, either.

  1. But, but, what about Joey Freshwater, he’s the $95 million dollar man! Oh, I forgot, Ole Miss kicked him out of the playoffs.

  2. With a loss to “cry like a chumpion” last year, those hoosier peeps do not qualify for cinderella status, upon further review, the hoosier hc will probably win that award, while UGA football will hoist the big trophy…GO DAWGS!!

  4. When it comes to Day, I view him the same way I view the manager of the Yankees. He’s gifted an elite roster thanks to name recognition and a seemingly endless supply of funds. His teams regularly dominate opponents because they have better athletes across the board. And he plays in a conference/division with a lot of weak teams.

    I’m not saying that anybody can step into that job and have the same success, but show me the last time that the successful outcome of one of his games was due to his coaching acumen. I’ll take your responses offline.

  5. I know people hate on Cignetti, and he’s obnoxious for sure, but he’s done an amazing job at Indiana. Indiana has sucked badly forever, and he turned them around in one year (with some fortunate scheduling) and they’re even better this year. He can only play the teams in front of him, but I watched Indiana a couple of times. They bullied Oregon on the road, and pulled it out against Ohio State. Props to them. I think we see them in the final, if Texas Tech isn’t there.

    Transfers and NIL have leveled the playing field (for now).

  6. Coach google me… if he does this again next yr after his 8th yr senior laden class leaves(like Vandy) then i will start singing his praises.
