Welp, we’re in the record books…in Women’s Soccer.

Not only did it beat the Women’s NCAA Soccer record by nearly 11,000 people, it beat the largest men’s crowd by 3,000.
Pretty cool, and we didn’t even have to do a White Out.

That is pretty awesome. I turned it on just to see what the crowd was like and the first thing I see is my son’s roommate in Brumby walking down the aisle of Sanford stadium.
This is a great example of the problems with college sports, it’s more important to show attendance than the score of the game.
Do you think that the rest of the college sports would be pointing and laughing if only 5,000 people showed up?
This is what bothers you about modern day college sports? Celebrating the support the Bulldog Nation showed for a women’s sporting event?
No reason to rub JMU’s face in it by including the blowout score in the celebration of setting an NCAA attendance record for both men’s and women’s soccer.
I had tickets, but my family decided not to go (and I didn’t want to go by myself). I was able to get them to someone local in Athens with daughters.
So…did we win?
6-nil.

Cool, we have a soccer team! I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed the World Cup. How long does college soccer last? I think another season is about to begin, correct?
