And the Gym Dawgs seem to be making a resurgence, beating #2 LSU, with Mike Tomlin in the audience watching his daughter. No word on whether Kirby attended and swayed him into a defensive analyst position.

I wonder if Tubby lies awake at night wondering what might have been if he had decided to stay. I will never blame him for going to UK, but he was following a legend (we all know how that eventually turns out). He would probably have his name on that court he was standing on.

He did win a title, something that probably wouldn’t have happened at UGA.
Key to Hoop Dawgs success is me not to watch. This far, I have only watched the following… Auburn score 4 points with 3 seconds left (turned it off at this point and we won in OT) Cyril throw a bow against UF (turned it off at this point but the loss of the big guy was too much to overcome), an awful performance against Ole Miss (I actually watched this whole game. Should have turned it off before OT), and Arkansas come back from down 19 to tie it up (turned it off at this point).
But for real, this looks like an extremely talented team that goes dormant and gets undisciplined. When they are firing on all cylinders, they have a chance to go deep in the dance. That’s not something we are used to seeing. Cyril has to keep it together and stay on the court. And for goodness sakes, feed Cain!!
White needs to get them to play better defense in the latter part of the game. Too many uncontested shots and poor transitioning to defense. But they dang sure can score.
UGA tennis handled the nerds with relative ease….it was the GYMDOGS that impressed, the coach spoke that evil word “process” multiple times and the team used the term “hardwork” ….this group including the staff could be very scary….GO DAWGS!!
Haven’t WTF at mine beloved tv monitor all year, UGA hoops brought me to the edge of more “I can’t believe this shit” tv abuse, then placed me back in the comfort of mine event viewing loveseat…thank you and GO DAWGS!!
Cyril has got to stop picking up cheap fouls late. Yeah, we had pulled away but that’s got to be fixed. Having said that, he’s a helluva defensive force.
He’s gotten the reputation among officials so they have a quick whistle now. Several of those calls are cheap/weak while others are just dumb.
BTW, I love the reporting on all things Dawgs athletics. Anytime we beat the nerds is a good time.
The gym dawgs win was their first against a top 5 team at home in almost ten years.
Hoping the Hoop Dawgs get to at least 21 or 22 wins. That should get us comfortably in the dance I believe. Missouri is predicted to win per ESPN on Tuesday. We’ll see. We need another big man to step up and be a worthy sub for Cyril when he’s not on the court.
