Nyuck of the Irish

I can’t make this shit up, folks. This is a real thing from Notre Dame football.

”Taking our ball and going bowling”. Ah, we have jokes, I see.

The level of heightened entitlement and “screw you” that the Irish are exhibiting should be studied. They haven’t won a championship since Vince Dooley was coaching, routinely take the easiest path to a National Championship game just to get pantsed…every time…and then point their fingers at the weakest college football conference in the Power 4 for throwing shade at their football team who refuses to join the football conference.

Meanwhile, Marcus Freeman flew off to Cancun and the football team decides to host a bowling tournament.

Maybe they’re perfect for the ACC, after all. Nah, hell, even Florida State played a bowl game after their disappointment in 2023.

FTMFs.

  1. “Usually one must go to a bowling alley to meet a woman of your stature”.

  2. There’s no way that all of this is going to used against ND in recruiting, is there?

  3. ND’s PR campaign appears to have blown up in their collective faces. Of course, Bevacqua and their fans are so arrogant that they believe they are the victim in all of this. What they don’t seem to understand is that the Power 4 collectively doesn’t need Notre Dame.

    It’s not 1970 anymore, Irish.

  4. Backlavaquala did not do his employer any favors. what a dumbass and dumbass move.
    makes fsu’s unconquered look mannerly.

  5. Day 5 of national media coverage generated by skipping the pop tarts bowl. ND must be doing something right. The saying “rent free” comes to mind.

  6. “hell, even Florida State played a bowl game after their disappointment in 2023.”

Actually, they played their best game. I had it 70-0. They managed to score AND hold us under 70.

  7. I saw this an hour or so ago.

SI is reporting that enough ADs around the country are pissed off at ND’s backroom dealing with the CFP that they’re threatening to drop them from their schedules. If that’s true, it will be amazing. I look forward to watching them try to weasel their way back into relevance by insisting on staying independent while playing their 5 ACC games and 7 G5 games every year.
