Nerves of Steele

Gosh, do you remember the good ole days, back when you’d get excited at the store when you purchased a copy of this:

Well he’s still at it, he’s ranking our trench guys on the offense at #7 across the board.

What do you think? Too high? Too low? I’m personally thinking they’re a place of strength for the season, provided they all stay healthy.

And that’s a big if.

  1. Amazing how much money I save not buying previews, anymore. 15 years ago I was chasing the dragon buying everything in sight only to win rings on the Playstation. Now I wake up and know we’ll be in the post-season controlling our destiny – known as the “Main Thing” around GringoManor. talking Season ain’t even a thing anymore.

  2. I miss Leonard’s Losers. That was the only prognosticating I needed. Once I figured out all these magazines had regional covers touting whatever local team as the next big thing, I lost interest quickly.

    • Yeah, I miss Leonard’s Losers, too. I evn went so far as to make some up for my friend and his son that lived out west. I reckon with the AI, they can be created easier than Pulpwood Smith’s commentary. I may chase that foolishness during the season.

  3. I have not purchased his magazine in years; however, he is more accurate in his forecasts than others.
Where does he rank us overall?

  4. I lived in Birmingham for 10 years. A lot of bammers thought the cover with Alabama players on it was nationwide. Entitled morons.
