Let’s face it, we had to know that 2022 was going to be something special with the opening destruction of Oregon. What amazed me even more about the 2022 campaign was the selflessness exhibited by the team. Jermaine Burton has left to head to Alabama, and it wasn’t even noticeable. Everyone took their turns, played team ball, and embodied that old Erk Russell “Team Before Me” (big team, little me?) mentality and the results were sensational.
I miss Washington and its football malpractice that he doesn’t see more of the field in Pittsburgh, but at least he was able to ball out in Athens and be a Georgia legend forever.
Duck #13 made a quick business decision. Go low or go to the hospital… think I’ll go low. 🤕
Darnell “Grandaddy” Washington is one of the players I missed the most last year. The way he would cave in an entire side of the defensive line was so much fun to watch. There just wouldn’t be any body there. The way he would send defenders flying like he was a high school senior playing against eighth graders always made me laugh. I remember sitting there as my Florida State fan brother in law looked on in disbelief, butthurt at the utter destruction the Dawgs were unleashing on Oregon. Man ‘22 might have been more fun than ‘21. Every game it was like “How much will we win by today?”
I agree. I really missed seeing the Big 0. He is for sure a DGD.
Loved that game. I was in Vegas for opening weekend. Lot of obnoxious green jerseys in the sports book, UNTIL about the end of the first half. They got the the hell out of Dodge pretty quick!
Big 0 is the only NIL jersey I’ve ever bought…He’s my favorite player on both Natty winners…although this year I may have to spring for the ole Dirty Dan Jackson…
