Monday Moment of Zen

I’ll just leave this here.

Simpler times. Not a phone to be seen anywhere.

  1. I miss it. I don’t think peole en realize what all the damn phones get in the way of.

  2. Now that’s how you do it.

Back when CDs were cutting-edge technology, we threw the styrofoam couches in our Appleby apartment into the back of a pick-up and rode around one late spring evening. Surprisingly, the popo left us alone. Maybe they thought we were in Chevy’s new Subaru Brat competitor.

  3. I love my mobile phone, but I also look forward to the day when I won’t need it any more.

Athens in the late 80s was a magical place.

  4. Taking classes during summer quarter was the best. Ratio was almost 12 to 1 girls. They would lay out on the north campus lawns getting tan, slide on cut off shorts and head to class smelling like coconut oil. Best days of my life!

    • I was going to agree about summer quarter and say that you could park anywhere. But, yeah, you make a much better point…

  5. Spent three out of four summers up there. Would take one class and work. Had a meal ticket at Mayflower, Strickland’s and a place where raising canes is now. I can’t remember the name. Less crowd and plenty of girls. Magic.
