Congratulations to a DGD on his 2nd contract!

I’m guessing the Dumbledore of tight end coaches, Todd Hartley, is letting his current and future targets know there are about 42,000,000 good reasons to get coached up at UGA.

Darnell, good for you, sir. I’ll end with Todd Hartley’s recruiting videos for future prospects … still unbelievable.

I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  3. First clip I ever saw of DW was from a spring game. Some walk-on safety tried to take him head-on after a short pass. It was like watching a garbage truck run over a beer can, STG I thought the unknown safety was maimed for life. Turned out to be Dan Jackson, who we all got to know better later.

    In the Oregon game at MBS, near the goal line, I remember seeing DW drive some hapless LB from the hash mark into about the 3rd row. Imagine being a DC and realizing you have to game plan for that guy and Brock Bowers.

  5. Wow! What a great lesson on providing value where you can. There’s nothing on the back of the card that would make you think he’s getting a second contract but to hear the leaders in the organization rave about him, it’s understandable. Imagine in your career that you work for Kirby and then Tomlin – just shutting up and showing up leads to good things. Well deserved

  6. Too bad he’s a STEELER! Can you imagine if he played for a really good offensive machine???? Maybe McCarthy will utilize him as deserved this coming year. GO BIG “O”.

  7. When I saw this announcement yesterday, I was really happy for him. Darnell has been a grown man (not just physically) since he was in high school. How can someone not root for him to succeed?

    I have loved the TE position in football forever. We have been lucky to have a long line of exceptionally talened tight ends. Bowers is special and a joy to watch. But it would be so sweet to see Darnell have a breakout year.

    Steelers fans are pretty pumped because Big 0 made great strides in the last couple of years and Jonnu Smith left Pittsburgh after last season. Yinzers love “Mount Warshington” (IYKYK)

    It is even sweeter that Colin Cowherd hates the extension. That dude thinks he knows everything about football because he and Jim McElwain were buddies in college. F him.
