If You Can’t Take the Tweet, Stay Out of the Twitter

Okay, I struggled on the title a little bit, but the title “X Marks the Spot Where we Saw Danny Kanell Get Fired” was probably better for this. As Otis shared yesterday in the Huddle Up, Danny Boy was in his feels in the wake of FSU’s international pantsing to Tech.

Oh, but it didn’t stop there. Danny kept rolling as the night stretched on:

And then, the following morning:

I’m guessing Danny had a feeling, followed by a call from CBS corporate brass. What transpired after, and I’m only assuming here, was Danny’s attempt to cover up the first tweet with a plausible “I was drunk” story in case anyone questioned the idiotic bravado that lead to the string of tweets. Given that RGIII recently lost his broadcasting spot with ESPN (no one has verified why, but it’s assumed it was his positioning on some politically charged tweets about males in female sports) I can see why Danny might have done this.

But, this is Danny Kanell we’re talking about. It seems it’s his job to infuriate folks in X, after all, so maybe it wasn’t a cover, but just typical Danny, after all.

I like what one Bulldawg poster put in the X comments though, as Danny’s appropriate medicine to swallow after Saturday’s scrum:

Drink up, lad. By the looks of it, you’ll need several this season.

  1. Danny is an ass mad teenager who has just been told by his parents that he’s getting a Silverado for his sixteenth birthday instead of a Tesla truck. Fuck him. I hope he has more of these Twix fits and gets fired.

  2. Danny says he’s gonna keep receipts but gets mad when other people do the same with him. If you’re gonna dish it out, you have to be able to take it.

  3. He had a post that blamed the refs for not stopping the clock after the tech rescue play that setup the game winning FG arguing it would have left FSU with 45 seconds to work with. Best response was “So DJ could throw a series of 1 yard passes?”

if you need a photo of Danny, look up TOOL on Google.
