Hillbilly Hate Resumes Today: Georgia vs. Tennessee at Foley

Here’s a fun fact:

Tennessee is last in the SEC in bating average. They’ve got some pitchers, though, and Georgia gets back Kenny Ishikawa on the mound for the Sunday game, so it’ll be interesting to see where we stand.

It’s an early season litmus test to see if we can feed the trees more than Tennessee can feed the catcher’s mitt. Let’s just hope we make the Hillbillies go home unhappy, like we’ve been doing for *checks notes* nine years in football.

  1. Great series to open SEC play. Love we got a heated rival at Foley Field as the first conference opponent.

Speaking of heated rivals, anyone know what the deal is with buying tickets for game against Tech at Truist Park? When I looked online a few weeks ago there was nothing. On StubHub there were only three listings two of which were general admission. The other was labeled “Georgia section”, but it wouldn’t tell you where the seats were located for any of the three listings. I want to take my son’s since one is freshman at damn Tech and the other will be attending UGA in the fall.

Of all the years not to have a three game series against the Yellow Jackets I can’t believe it is this year when both teams are highly ranked. Tech’s star (Drew Burgess) lives about a driver, 3 wood, 6 iron, away from me and used play pickleball with my sons during the summer.

  2. That is absolutely the ugliest shade of orange. I hope we beat the hell out of Tennessee and send ’em home crying.
