Yeah, I don’t watch the basketball team live, but I have all the games recorded so I did watch the latest game against Texas and I have watched most other games this season and this team is capable of making a run in the post season. There’s also been a few games this season where they have shown that they are capable of a face plant. Wilkinson has been key – our two most face plant losses came when he was out with a shoulder injury – but generally speaking we are not depending solely on one spectacular talent to win. We have lots of young talent and they are growing into next man up roles. This group can pull off a couple of upsets. Sweet sixteen? Why not?
Blue Cain also has stepped it up in SEC play, finally. Smurf continues to be a solid, reliable rock, and I’m really impressed by the young potential in Stagg. Can play the five but can also step out and drop a three. Second only to Cyril in blocks in the league, too. This team can be dangerous, in both directions.

I was thinking deep run in the tourney, but I’ve seen enough inconsistency to give me pause. I won’t be surprised either way, but I will be highly disappointed if we crap out in the first round. The last 2 games have given me hope for maybe something special though. I guess we need to actually make it there first before we get too carried away. Vandy looks gettable as of late.
