What’s the good word? Streaks. Kirby has lost five times to our traditional rivals since taking over in 2016, twice to Florida, once to Auburn, once to Tennessee, and once to Yech. He has a chance to make it seven in a row (would be eight, but of course we cowered and didn’t play them in COViD, per the Nerds). That would tie the series record held by Tech and achieved a long, long time ago.
How does Kirby feel about this?
He’s a former player and absolutely knows what it looks like to sleep on Tech and not step into the Paul Johnson world of PR gaffes by thinking we have a fish fry to worry about a weekend from now. But deep down, we all know the truth:

My oldest daughter who is beautiful is a nerd. She said at Tech while the odds are good the goods are odd. Her younger sister is a UGA grad. The oldest daughter is a ChemE.

What I remember from school was. What do you call a beautiful young woman on the tech campus? A visitor, B lost tourist or C professional it’s always D anything other than student.

I can appreciate that the head nerd is bringing the hate. That just means Kirby will enjoy spanking them even more.
The only thing that ever concerns me about playing Tech is that they hate us more than we hate them. They are more fired up about playing us than we are about playing them as we are their Super Bowl. They think about us 24/7, 365 days a year and their fans would rather UGA lose a game then their own team win a game. They openly celebrate the death of the UGA mascots, our legendary coach Dooley and even our legendary radio announcer, Larry Munson. They are the worst fanbase in the U.S.A., and need to have their asses kicked and put back in their place! FTMFs!
We’ll get their best shot. I’d say Key’s comment deserves the cannon shot gif, but tech doesn’t even strike me as a southern school. Just a sad little community college version of a fake MIT. Their so called rocket scientist graduates work for NASA and Boeing which tells us everything we need to know about their education. Recruiting motto should be “We train you how to call Elon for help”.

My son was accepted to UGA on Friday and we are obviously excited for him. He finds out from the North Avenue Trade School on Dec. 6th. Thankfully he was raised right and doesn’t want to go there, but he applied because he thought early on he may want to major in Engineering.
I was sure to point out the Tech “coeds” featured on TV during the NC State game and he quickly noted the difference from his experiences in Athens. Here’s to wishing him the opportunity to say, “thanks, but no thanks” to in early December.

He is aware of the program at UGA. He loves math and I think he is leaning towards business and finance now. (I actually made him apply to Tech truth be told. Told him if he was considering engineering he would be foolish not to apply there if he truly wanted to do engineering. Also told him he could be an uncover agent and be a Georgia fan still!)
The college experience and campus life is a huge detractor for Tech to him.
As a finance major who started in Engineering, I’d go accounting. Accounting now seems to have more jobs these days with applying various accounting standards or looking for ways for companies to save on taxes especially international tax.
Another option I’d consider would be a Information Systems, or Computer Science major with a double major in Accounting or Finance. The people that can extract information quckly and present it an informative package or can build sucessful tools in various software packages always have options.
As a UGA engineer for the past 40+ years, I appreciate you pimping the program, jp! As I told tech nerds back then as Herschel was running all over them, I get to follow a great football team, and I get the engineering degree they brag about. NERDS!

All this is true and that’s why they are dangerous. They would gladly go 1-11 if that one win was UGA. They are a mediocre program and know their only chance to take part in the national championship race is by ruining ours. Fuck them running. Go Dawgs!
In what world is Brent Key a better coach than Kirby? They beat a bad NC State team by 1, they beat what became a terrible FSU team by 3, they lost at Syracuse, and they got waxed by ND in MBS and by VT in Blacksburg. They beat Miami by 5 in a game where Miami turned it over once and turned it over on downs 3 other times.

Key made some good offseason hires, especially with Buster Faulkner. If Harrison Bailey is healthy the offense is dangerous. UGA should roll Friday but, Smart’s team is bipolar enough that this could be a game.
Smart IMO made some bad offseason moves in Searels, and Coley without a doubt. I really don’t understand the Searels hire.
The better coach? I would not make that decision off of 1 year, every coach makes hires that don’t work out. I thought Coley was a lazy hire but not highest drop rate in the country terrible hire. This season? sure Brent’s moves worked out to improve the team, Smart;s ’24 team isn’t better than ’23. Many coaches have looked like they turned the corner for the better but clearly didn’t 2 seasons later.
I want to roll Tech but the nerds being a top 25 team doesn’t bother me. I like the strength of schedule as well. The handbags and Bammers are the teams, I’d be happy to see in the dumpster for years.
Faulkner has been with him for 2 years now.
