Did you know…

I’ll say I’ve been impressed by the number of times Kirby’s elected to go for it on 4th down this season…and to be converting at the rate we are, kudos to the offensive line and developing the running back room to make some of this happen, alongside a little ingenuity from Bobo.
Nice to see we’ll take very inch we can.
Looking at that chart, Army is averaging 4 1/2 fourth down attempts per game. It’s not a surprise at all, but it’s still a bit jarring to see just how much more they do it.
God looks after the Infantry.
Except when they play Navy…
Ugh!
This is the situation when no “Long Snappah” is on your roster…GO DAWGS!!
Like everything he attempts Kirby will look at that and see we failed four times. Here’s how we can do better guys.
One big one we didn’t convert that likely would have the Dogs undefeated and sitting in the #1 seed for the CFP.
Where is Bama. All we hear is how aggressive DeBoer is.
Stockton’s ability to run adds options here.
We’re not in this position with Beck as our QB. Legs are the key. Beck’s relatively mobile as a dead whale.
Yet Thorson still won the Ray Guy with Kirby taking 17 punts away from him!
How good would the long snappah be with those additional opportunities??
Cash Jones…from exciting unknown star of a long ago G-Day game to Mr. 3rd & 4th down. A DGD. Bravo. But some of those 4th down attempts are because he…maybe, just maybe…wasn’t the best choice on 3rd down. Ahh, well…let it go. Kirby knows best.
But kick the f’ing FG next time Kirby! 😜

Kirby won more games going for it on 4th than he lost this season and should probably do it more.
