Friday Fodder for Filibustering: If If’s and But’s Were Tua and Hurts

Well, there’s actual footage out there of Saban’s halftime decision to give us years more of hurt and anguish in the 2017 National Championship game.

X video from the ESPN film “Saban”, which is a documentary about Saban’s career as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Lest we forget:

This is an Image of Sony Michel and Nick Chubb after losing to Alabama the national championship game in 2017.

If we ever needed more reason to go in to Alabama and destroy a team, it should be this. And if we switched in Puglisi to do it, even better.

Gotta say I respect the man, but I still wonder what would’ve been had Alabama not had two future NFL starting quarterbacks on their team. I remember worrying at halftime that they would switch to the more mobile quarterback, who we also were withing a shoestring of bringing down on a sack prior to the game-winning throw.

Discuss your biggest what-ifs in Georgia lore, or what you think would’ve happened if Alabama didn’t have a QB2 in the game.

  1. Have not watched the show on Saban. It would be interesting, but my stomach and heart can’t take it. That one still hurts. Let’s try to erase some of that tomorrow night! Them Dawgs are gonna be ready to GATA! Go Dawgs!!

  2. If the SEC didn’t have the one dominant team each year throughout the 2000’s that was just better enough than us (Florida, LSU, Alabama) then we would have won 2-3 nattys during that stretch, but we finally got our turn with Kirby in the early 2020’s so it was frustrating but we built to that point and earned it. Now I’m ready to experience it again and again well before the 40 years we had to wait last time, starting tomorrow night! Go Dawgs!!
