Friday Fodder for Filibustering: CFP Hate Post

Okay, here’s a Friday Fodder subject for you all:

Obviously, we all want Georgia to win it all…but who do you hope loses more than anyone else.

Easy for me:

Who you got as the one you want to exit early the most?

    • alabamia and all those 3rd/4th cousins that date, then marry and watch that family tree grow with no branches…would want to match up vs tosu on the field, by definition, the only Fucking way they are #2, is the brown stain they leave in mine water closet…GO DAWGS!!

  1. Outside of the Dawgs winning it all, nothing in the playoff would make me happier than Bama getting destroyed by Oklahoma.

  2. Having nieces and nephews, plus a sister and two sister-in-laws that are Bama rollers. Bama all the way, DOWN. Mama always said hate is a strong word, so to respect mama, I strongly, very strongly dislike Bama!

  3. Definitely the gumps. Then proly Ohio. If IU proves it then fine but they gotta prove it.

  4. The gumps all the way. Then Ohio. If IU proves it then fine. But they gotta prove it.

  5. Bama, Bama, a thousand times Bama. Can’t decide if I’d rather OU immediately maul them or we get them for the Natty and lay a beatdown of biblical proportions on them — we’re talking wailing and gnashing of teeth.

  6. The team I always hope loses is not on this list and I am so grateful for that. Notre Dame. I’ll pull for any team playing ND. At least for that one game. Growing up in an Irish Catholic family it is simply assumed you love Notre Dame. Never liked them. How is that Notre Dame gets their own, personal rule put into the CFP contract? Makes me hate them even more.

  7. Texas Tech. Hate those bastards. (Not really, just wanted to mix it up a little)

    • Dawgs are going to be playing Texas Tech for the Championship. We’ll get to hating them in a few weeks.

  8. anOSU. Hands down. I was talking about the CFP here in Minnesota and mentioned to an NFL fan that that school may have paid for some incredible talent, but they have an average coach, and my buddy literally laughed out loud and said “Just barely that!” Even non college ball knowers know this.

I hate that anyone in the CFB world thinks they’re anything more than good at giving cash to kids because of the number of stars they had coming out of high school.

  9. Bama by a mile. I hate Cryin’ Ryan more than I do anOSU, but my hatred for the Gumps burns as brightly as the sun.

  10. I want to see the “winner” of Mississippi/Tulane get boat raced. I’ll reassess after that bloodletting.

  11. Indiana. I want to see them play an SEC team and get hammered. I don’t know how they beat tOSU and Oregon, but we will see the winner of OK / BAMA get a shot at them

  12. Dead heat between Bama and anOSU for the question as presented, but anyone of those teams listed that finds themselves across the field from UGA when they start playing The Star Spangled Banner gonna have a tough row to hoe. In Kirby I Trust.

  13. Probably Bama, followd by a close second Indiana, followed by a close 3rd OSU. As somebody else mentioned, I’m tired of hearing abount Indiana, I don’t really have anybody in my circle that are OSU fans, but the sidewalk Bama fans that are around would be insufferable.

Would love to see a Bama, UGA rematch in the final and see heads explode. I also think both teams have a realistic path.

  14. If it is Ohio st., they are probably looking for a coach. I am already confident bama is going to lose on their own without wishes from me.

  15. Its a 3-way tie for me between Alabama, the Yankee schools and the Texas schools.

  16. Bama & anOSU in a dead heat. 2 insufferable fan bases that deserve BTA anytime they get it.

  17. Ala-fuckin’-bama, baby! If tOSU wins another, so be it. But if the damn Gumps win one under Deboer, it will reinforce their delusion that they’re God’s Chosen People.

  18. Bama and Ohio State are pretty much neck and neck for me followed closely by Miami.

  19. I’ve actually got 3….Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon…I hate them all (Indiana because of their arrogant HC).

  20. I would only root for tosu against two teams, notre dame and Iran. Even then, I’d root for a meteor.

  21. Bammer; they backed in again. There were more deserving teams but Bama privilege struck again and caused us to be stuck with two G5 teams as well. Give us BYU and Vanderbilt and yes…Notre Lame…

  22. Can for vote for ALL of them? I have said on this channel before and I will say it again, I root for UGA and UGA alone.

Truthfully, if we get eliminated my attention span will turn to other things – so I hope we do run the table with the type of physical, soul-crushing football we are known for and that make other fanbases cry.

It would be delicious if Oklahoma blew out Alabama because they might decide to let DeBoer flit off to Ann Arbor. So I hope Bama crashes out. Speaking of the Sooners? Their entire “history” of success was rooted in playing in a conference with Nebraska and an annual game that is a side feature to a state fair. They can crash out too. Maybe both teams will get sucked out in windstorm to be never heard from again.

I know I am in the minority but I hate the Indiana story and Curt Cignetti can suck it. He seems like a miserable blowhard to me. Plus all of the college football media loves the guy and the story of the “basketball” school who is now “dominating” college football. They could have been good in football for years if the school, fanbase, and athletic administration cared about the sport – but they didn’t. They wanted to appease “The General” Robert Montgomery Knight and his pious, self-sanctified view of college athletics. “Hey” Knight was the most sepulchral SOB to ever come out of Orrville, OH (shout out to Smuckers.) To his credit, he may have been the greatest cusser to every walk the face of the earth. He could let the expletives fly!

Perhaps the only benefit of OSU winning it all would be Ryan Day leaving Columbus for Cincinnati or Cleveland and watching both Michigan and Ohio State fight whoever the hot coaching candidate might be in 2026. But it would be more fun if they lost their first CFP game in embarrassing fashion and they forced Day to leave for the Bengals or the Browns.

I am sick of the Miami is back story and college football is much better when they are good. Pulleeze … Miami has been bad at college football for more decades than they have been good and the sport has thrived. Texas A&M has always been rolling in money and have so little to show for it. Why change the pattern now?

While we are on the subject of money, Texas Tech reminds me of the person who finally gets a lot of $$, calls up the plastic surgeon and shortcuts their way to beauty. The denouement of those stories always involving nasty, gross, puss-filled pockets of something. I can’t wait for it to happen to them and I hope it starts soon.

Oregon? Who cares if Dan Lanning had connection to UGA at one point. Their benefactor is one of the parties trying to have an outsize influence in this sport and he desperately wants a championship. Let’s smash those dreams and watch him drift out into a sea of despair like a Decemberists song. I do like that band though.

Tulane and James Madison? Why would I root for them on any level? Both coaches are leaving for supposed greener pastures. One is going Gainesville so anything he does here will be sold as a benefit for FU. So FU Green Wave. James Madison was slave owner who freed one slave in 1783 to quell a rebellion but didn’t free a single slave in his will after he died in 1836. I don’t want to perpetuate anything associated with that guy.

Did I leave anyone out? While we are at Notre Dame can confess their sins to Touchdown Jesus and I only wish Ga Tech was in playoffs so they can play Charlie Brown to our Lucy.

So yeah as I have said on this channel, I root for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Bulldogs only. Screw everyone else.
