For Georgia, That’s Not Quite Enough

I know, I know, it’s Dawgnation, but hearing this is music to my Dawg ears.

Also, can we call Stockton Smiley? That dude is just living his best life.

It’s the typical off-season hype speak, I know, but it’s good to know that the bar is still high and, as we always say, Kirby et al is on the mother.

  1. Adams’s insistence that we need to go deeper in the playoff is garbage. Would you rather have had our seasons or Ole Miss’s or ND’s the last 2 years?

I’ll take an SEC championship (as long the CG is played) over anything but winning the whole damn thing any day of the week.

Do I want to go deeper in the playoff and win the whole damn thing? Absolutely. Do I look at the last 2 years as failures as a result? No way.

    • Never liked that guy. Tried listening to his podcast a few times, but couldn’t take his tone or how he repeats himself and is as verbose as possible to make the episode have length.

He annoys the hell outta me.

      • I listen more for the guests than for him. Our community knows more football than he does. Jon Stinchcomb, Terrence Edwards, Jake Fromm and Davin Bellamy with some Hot Rod sprinkled in are the reason to listen.

        • Unfortunately, I can put up with him to hear the guests…lol.

I prefer the two Jakes and Rusty Mansell. I listen to their “The Georgia Show” podcast on Spotify. I’m a big fan of Rusty’s.

  2. Its a “win it all or bust” mentality. Im ok with this. Its a “Championship” mentality. The days of “10 wins”, a trip to Tampa to the Outback bowl being classified as “success” are in the rear view mirror! The program, thanks to Kirby alone, has morphed into a consistent top 3 program & anything less than a Natl Championship is a disappointment. And Im ok with the NWO.

  3. I think that it is fair to say the last two seasons have been successful, and at the same time disappointing. Winning the SEC any year is a success, but failing to advance past the first 1st round is disappointing. Were we better than a 1st round lose either year? Possibly, but more than likely not.

As for Brandon Adams, I don’t care for his style and do not listen to his shows. He was ok on local Atlanta sports talk radio backing the day, but I find him to be an awful list these days. Feel like he does not know more than you or I.

    • Skeptic, I’m with you. Overall I choose to call the last two seasons a success (especially ’24) because I think Kirby got all he could out of the team.

But I was also disappointed at losing the first playoff game, especially against Ole Sis.

I do think this season we may be hell on wheels, but the SEC has stacked the schedule against us again.
