And to think, this was part of the proceedings that lead to granting Trinidad Chambliss an extra year of eligibility. Quite frankly, how the hell did this even come up in the hearing?
Meanwhile, you had to know the outcome wasn’t going the NCAA’s way when this was going on:
Can you imagine if the Senator was witnessing this? I’d love to hear his commentary on the state of affairs, to be sure. To make matters even more absurd, the “Judge” got emotional reading his decision.
Jesus, Joseph, and Mary.
The judge went to Ole Miss law school? Nothing to see here. Are the kids draft projections so poor he has to stay in school to make money?
One of our esteemed moderators pointed this out as well.
Get $5 million to stay, or go make $2 mil in the pros. Add the potential to jack up the draft stock should Ol Miss get to the tournament and do well?
Sheeeeitttt… It’s a bidness decision Bro. A no-brainer.
I must have been absent the day the moderator splained it. Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks!
The judge should join tampon Timmy’s going away party! Good grief, can we not do better when electing or sitting judges. Just damn.
Ferris State did not provide documentation of an injury affecting his ability to play but I am curious to know more. During those two seasons he didn’t get on the field during a game did he practice every day and participate in every scrimmage to the same extent as letter winners, Or, did the coaches allow him to remain on scholarship one of those years without fully participating in practices as his teammates did?
You raise an interesting question with regard to participation. I wonder if somewhere down the line if the NCAA will call participation a set number of games irrespective of time. Limited to participating in a maximum of 60 games?
Now that Chambliss is approved, I’d love it if he hit the portal – just to see the look on the kangaroo judge’s face.
It would be fantastic (well, not really) if Kiffykins put him up to this and we see Chambliss in an LSU uni next week.
Saw an article the other day where a Montana player was granted a 9th year! Don’t know where this will end, but now it don’t look too good.
Judge Robert Whitwell is a straight up baffoon. Choking up, really??????
I’d cry if they gave Herschel his lost year of eligibility back!
“Well I cried at the end of the Dirty Dozen…”
This will just be added to my long(er by the day it seems) list of reasons why I hate the game in it’s current state.
CFB now has the worst offseason in the history of sports.
The inscription on the football reads: “To Judge Whitwell. Go Rebs! Hugs and kisses, Trinidad.” Judge probably only paid $10k for it.
