There’s rumblings that the NCAA Men’s and Women’s tourneys are due for an expansion. You could only guess the one reason why.
The NCAA has had good conversations with the networks. Translated: the NCAA had a good conversation on revenue.
I’ll give them credit here, though. They’re at least starting to be honest about it.
It is ok to laugh about March Madness, just as long as we all know that football is following their footsteps. First it was 4, now it is 12, and they make it 16 before the new season starts. We all agree that 24 or 32 is just around the corner, right?

every sport with a tournament is expanding – soccer world cup is adding more teams – just stupid greed

It will only mean more for the play in game on tuesday night highlighting the university of who can it be now vs the northwest we are just glad to be here school of blanket weaving….just plain madness for the win!!

How about we open it up like US Open qualifying? The top 16 teams get in automatically. Everybody else (and I meand EVERYBODY) plays back to back to back to back… games over a weekend for the other 16 slots. Mickey will call it the Longest Weekend in Football (TM) and will be thrilled when Northwest Valley Chiropractic & Dental U. gets in as a Cinderella because the rest of their bracket couldn’t field enough players by the end.
