I don’t think there’s a chance he’ll play in Red and Black again, but at least it won’t be as significant an impact on his chances with the pros.

I am glad to read that. Having him back from the semifinal and final helps the team (either he is back to his best or will be an experienced back up if Stockton gets hurt or is ineffective) and is good from his 2025 draft status.
I have absolutely ZERO ill will about Beck and as far as I am concerned he has earned DGD status for his performance and commitments. But I must ask the question; Is this a Wally Pipp event ?
We won’t be able to say re Wally Pipp until the Playoffs are over. I think we won’t really hear anything definitive until we (fingers crossed) have a situation where Beck had to play. If Kirby thinks it is becoming a distraction then there will be an announcement.

Me too.. Gunner doesn’t look as quick as Stetson though…I look forward to seeing him throw the ball down field. In no way do I believe the team is better off without Carson though..It would be great if he could play if Dawgs advance a round or two.
Difference being, SBIV was a walk on, #14 won’t be afraid of the bright lights, UGA football “OC” do love him some #14, very curious as to how much of the play book will be available to him, moving forward and it’s not like #14 plays today, he’s got a couple of weeks to work with….is Gunner a football player in a QB body, cause that hit he took, could have a serious impact in that UGA football locker room…GO DAWGS!!

I hope Beck heals fully and has a long and prosperous career. But my selfish concern is that Kirby has to choose between Beck at ~75% or a healthy Gunner with a month of prep.

Beck is eligible to play next year and I could see him staying at UGA if the elbow injury combined with his INTs drops him in the draft. If he does, other QBs will likely enter the portal.
Do we know if this information is credible? I hope that it is, if for no other reason for the health of Carson Beck and his NFL hopes and dreams. Regardless, we can’t let it make us think that Beck will be able to play again for the Red & Black. Will he be on the sideline if possible? Of course! We need to hope that Stockton is coached up and ready to go and that the playbook is opened up as we can’t just try to run swing passes, screens and QB runs and expect to win. I’d like to see us open the next game with a shot down the field to at least show that we are capable of doing so. Do I expect to see Carson Beck play for UGA again? No, I really don’t. I just hope that they young man is OK, rehabs and gets back to being 100%.
