As the Portal Turns

I mentioned in a previous “winning, wilting, and wondering” post about what happened to cause the disappearance of M’Pemba. Looks like he’s disappearing permanently, and taking Bowles with him.

Can’t say it’s surprising, given Georgia’s 2025 class and the likelihood that NIL might bring in more help, as well. Seeing younger guys get more playing time doesn’t help either. In other portal news:

I’m guessing KJ Bolden’s playing time was a factor. Meanwhile, in Tuscaloosa:

Haynes was a huge target, and I wouldn’t put it past Kirby to give him a look and bolster the running back room. Despite his hype, he averaged only about 7 carries per SEC contest and under four yards per carry. Business decisions, amirite?

Meanwhile, this is Purdie interesting…

Makes me wonder what’s about to happen with Rashada.

  1. You want NIL money and to play for a championship team? You gotta perform. Kirby probably not worried about anyone leaving and not afraid to keep everyone staying on notice about new talent coming in. Go earn your starting role and don’t worry about the guy behind you.

  2. the lack of use by Bama with their talented RBs was criminal
you knew they were portaling after that shit
    Kirby licking his chops

  3. UGA has a spot for a good RB, it wouldn’t surprise me if he lands in Athens or anOSU.

Bama IMO misused their roster. DeBoer seemed to put his system over using the talent he had. Bama is a job that wants success now especially wwith them having success, not a good look. He better gets his players in and make the post season in a hurry or he’ll be looking to see who will take a chance on him.

    • Since the bammer hc was mentioned, is there a time line attached for his departure out of alabamia….I’ll hang up, cause we could really GAS less…GO DAWGS!!

      • The bammers I know already want a new coach. When asked who do you want most answer Lanning or haven’t thought that far. Lanning has it too good to step into that so to be dumpster fire.
