Diamond Dawgs Likely Get a National Seed

The regular season concluded today with a win over the Aggies, and the Dawgs took the series.

Per Wes Johnson, he thinks the win locks a national seed for the Diamond Dawgs.

Now the question remains if Georgia will be a top 4 seed in the SEC tournament, and there are tiebreaker scenarios as usual. It might come down to a game of Scrabble to determine the seeding, based on past SEC scenarios.

Go Dawgs!

  1. I don’t see a top 8 unless a deep run into SEC tourney. Outside looking in. Hope I am wrong. And hope we don’t see Goldstein on the mound the remainder of this incredible season.

    • I disagree. Diamond Dawgs are very likely to be a Top 8 seed in my opinion. 18 conference wins in the best conference with one of the hardest rated SEC schedules. They also finished #1 in the RPI rankings. No way the committee leaves the top RPI team out of the top 8.

  2. Going to the CWS has long been a bucket list thing for me but I always found an excuse not to go. I finally (at the wife’s encouragement) booked the trip in March. How cool would it be to get to see the Dawgs in Omaha.

  3. Dawgs look great clutch… pitching and hitting… winning culture!!!
