In honor of Carson Beck’s NFL debut last night (he looked decent)…
Here’s an honest question…was Kirby sending in a broken Carson Beck his biggest “f*ck you” to Steve Sarkisian of all time?
Think about it for a minute…last play before half, Hail Mary attempt, and Carson Beck lay broken on the field.
Flash forward to Georgia’s final possession in overtime, and Gunner just got knocked the hell out. If Gunner is upright and standing, Gunner does the final handoff, QB sneak, or touchdown pass (or field goal kick for additional overtime).
Instead, here comes Beck, arm useless and hanging by this side. So what is Sarkisian thinking at the time?
a. It’s a fake, Beck is healthy, they’ll throw.
b. Beck is clearly hurt, but maybe they’ll take a delay of game and bring Stockton back in.
c. It’s just Beck, they’re one dimensional, load the box and we win the game.
One thing that’s likely sure that Smart was thinking…
a. Run the ball down their throat and win
b. See A, repeat

Beck seemed to be pretty darn good last night. I know, I know … it’s preseason.
On the play in question, our guys blocked their asses off.
If Beck handles the time between that day and the game in New Orleans differently, I’m convinced most people would call him a DGD for, if nothing else, his willingness to make that play.
I know he’s a lightning rod, but I never tire of saying it (especially to opposing fans), “Beck could beat you with one arm tied behind his back”.
Beck looked great last night! If he’s not starting over Jacoby Brissette game 1, then Zona are fools!
And….would be hard to choke down that Beck starts in NFL his rookie year & Bennett (13) still playing “back up”.
I think Bennett’s situation is a tad bit different where he’s sitting behind a likely first ballot Hall of Famer as compared to Jacoby Brissett (whom I didn’t know was still in the league).
Ran it right down there f∆cking throats even though they knew it was coming.
