As the days dwindle down to opening kickoff, we’re all thinking the same thing: God, let it get here quickly…and…please let’s make it through fall camp healthy.
Nothing too terrible to report from Tuesday’s news threads, but we do have some players who were donning black jerseys in Tuesday’s practice:
- DE/OLB Gabe Harris
- RB Nate Frazier
- WR Sacovie White
- LB Chaz Chambliss
- DL Jordan Hall
- DL Warren Brinson
- C Jared Wilson
Other notes:
- With the DL injuries, it’s nice that Christen Miller stuck around for another season, as he’s seeing lots of reps.
- Coach Uzo-Diribe was working with Jalon Walker, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, Justin Greene and Joseph Jonah-Ajonye at the OLB positions, but I saw this wasn’t uncommon per other reports.
- Apparently Luckie is getting the first TE reps with Yurosek working behind him, despite all the off-season hype about Yurosek getting the starting nod.
Ellis Robinson was getting some work with a wrapped wrist, but it didn’t look like it was hurting him too much:

Also there’s a Smael Mondon sighting:

If the injuries can just be of the non severe variety. Goff night I’m tired of hearing about how half the team is “banged up.”
Miller is supposedly making some noise I heard. I hope the DL responds to the challenge and maligning they have taken this off season. Kirby has a unique way of turning a player around. The talent is there for sure. If 2-3 of the 4-5 guys in the DL make the jump needed ( TID, Harris, Hall, maybe Jah Jarrett) then I believe this DL could be special with Williams creating his havoc. I believe Hall had a little procedure and is in a black jersey too.
super fast LB’s and solid DBs …this defense has a chance to special if the DL just gets a little more focused.
Am I the only one that read the “Walker” award as “Wanker” at first glance?
I’m always a little bleary eyed in the morning after half a case of those Aussie Fosters too…
