About That NFL #1 QB Pick

Beck’s been spreading the love in his first two games.

Comparably, his primary competition for the first round draft pick isn’t doing quite so well.

To make matters worse, his bedside manners as it pertains to news conferences isn’t any better. I mean, if I’m a GM, I’m not wanting to touch this culture cancer with a ten foot pole.

Sounds like a good sportsman and teammate, huh. To make matters worse, he left the game early, didn’t shake hands with the opposing team, and was made to look like the lesser quarterback compared to a freshman in Raiola.

Looks like their media team is going to need to splice together a few more highlights for Sanders, because it’s not happening on the field anytime soon.

  1. I may end up liking Shadur less than Deion, I didn’t think that would be possible. Also, you never, ever throw an out route that late. Can’t blame the oline for that one. He had all day to ponder that shitty decision.

  2. I’m enjoying watching Colorado crash and burn as much as anyone. But I also recognize that Shedeur has talent. He’s immature and cocky, and I place most of the blame for that solely on his father’s shoulders. It must be hard to be humble when you grow up with that narcissistic a$$ as a role model.

  3. There is no doubt that Shedeur Sanders has all the physical talent needed to be a top tier QB. What he doesn’t have and unless he hits the portal (not going to happen) and isn’t going to have is top tier coaching to help develop the mental side of the game. If he was in a program that put more emphasis on discipline and preparation instead of self-promotion and NIL money, who knows how good he could be. Dan Lanning hit a bullseye when he said Colorado was a team “fighting for clicks”. Lots of athletes like Shedeur out there who have the physical skills but without the mental side (discipline, preparation, leadership) end up nothing more than has been high school stars and playground legends.
As a side note, I loved Raiola and his buddies trolling Sanders with “the watch” showcase after the game

  4. Capt Obvious here but…Coach Prime and Coach Prime Jr are in it for themselves. The Buffs Nation are just waking up to the realization that they enabled the death/castration of their own program when they let the QBs dad become the coach. Hard to believe that coach Prime has made that impotent program worse. I don’t think the Banquet beer will be flowing quite as merrily around the rockies.
I loved Deion with the Falcons and the Braves but he is not a coach.
My understanding is that no major program wanted Coach Prime jr as a QB but as a DB…so Coach Prime went into “we will show you” …which worked at jax st where it wasn’t even close…the Prime team found a desperate P5 school to bring the circus to town and it looked good for 5 mins…then sobriety set in and now Buffs Nation is left with a hefty party bill, empty beer cans, and not enough dispensaries in the state to cure the oncoming pain of betrayal.
This is going to flame out as spectacularly as it started.
Cue Nelly’s Hot in Here… because it is going to be awesome to watch…especially if the rams exact revenge on Sat.
Bonus topic…if the Falcons had the 1st overall pick, wouldn’t it be so Falcons to take Coach Prime jr over Beck…probably make Coach Prime the coach…I don’t think the Falcons will ever recover from 27-3(or maybe I never will).
