First clip I ever saw of DW was from a spring game. Some walk-on safety tried to take him head-on after a short pass. It was like watching a garbage truck run over a beer can, STG I thought the unknown safety was maimed for life. Turned out to be Dan Jackson, who we all got to know better later.
In the Oregon game at MBS, near the goal line, I remember seeing DW drive some hapless LB from the hash mark into about the 3rd row. Imagine being a DC and realizing you have to game plan for that guy and Brock Bowers.

Wow! What a great lesson on providing value where you can. There’s nothing on the back of the card that would make you think he’s getting a second contract but to hear the leaders in the organization rave about him, it’s understandable. Imagine in your career that you work for Kirby and then Tomlin – just shutting up and showing up leads to good things. Well deserved
Too bad he’s a STEELER! Can you imagine if he played for a really good offensive machine???? Maybe McCarthy will utilize him as deserved this coming year. GO BIG “O”.
