Mr. Smith, Allow Me to Retort: Gunner in the 4th Quarter

Wellll…check out the big brain on Brett!

When in doubt, ball out. Looks like Gunner might take three quarters to get his vision right. If that isn’t the Georgia Way of recency, I don’t know what is.

How about we do this in the first and second and quit worrying the sh*t out of us every fall Saturday, huh?

  1. I got so spoiled during those Natty years. Most all games were over by third quarter. Could coast at the end. Maybe we can get there this season. I keep telling my wife”ain’t nothing easy”. Go Dawgs!!

  2. I give Steve Smif credit, I thought she died – shrug emoji. I don’t know if Gunnar is Bulletin Board Material wired, but Kirby might reference it over the bullhorn at practice this Fall and it will probably be hilarious.

    • I don’t even know who that guy is or was. Why should I care what he thinks? Gunner balled out, won the SECCG for us and did all he could to defeat the refs and Ole Piss in the Sugar Bowl.

If we’re worried about Gunner’s vision, maybe it’s time the refs called targeting for him. He’s been absolutely targeted at least 5 times I can think of in his career. I think there were 2 in the Sugar Bowl. None called.

  3. So Smith is an fu fan, as I understand. Considering their recent and current QB situation, he should probably stfu, because Gunner looks like Tom Brady compared to fu’s shitshow.

  4. I think that the truth lies in the middle. Gunner was far from crappy last year (see the throw in Knoxville), but he also had his share of struggles (see the Tech game). There is no doubt that he is a tough kid, but we do not know if he is a GREAT quarterback.

    • One stat said his average depth of target was the worst out of all the QBs in the Playoffs and 15 of 16 in the SEC. When 50 percent of your offense is screens, I guess thats what you get.

  5. I’m excited for year 2 with Gunnar! Hopefully he shows the f@ck out! Steve Smith and Cam Newton can get a room…

  6. I think with an upgraded OL coach, you will see will see more success on standard downs with the run. That will open up a more efficient passing game earlier than we saw last year.
