Adding to the Injury List: Gunner Stockton

Well, consider me apoplectic when I read this:

But don’t worry about it….Kirby’s on the mother:

Stockton was seen wearing a sleeve on his knee after what Smart described as a “little offseason injury” during a recent practice.

“He’s great, he’s practicing,” Smart told 247Sports. “He had a little offseason injury in our workouts, but he’s fine now. He was limited a little bit the first couple of days, but he’s out there competing and doing a good job, focusing on things he needs to improve on and competing with those other guys. I’ve been really pleased with Gunner.”

Whew, for some of us. Some would like to see Pug, but that’s prototypical offseason banter and we know Gunner’s on the mother, right?

  1. There have been several reports about him practicing in a knee sleeve. But he was practicing and not riding a bike or running on the side, so was never concerned. Gotta practice to get better, so glad he’s able to. If he has another level, the offense might be really good.

  2. I would very much like to see a Stetson-esque leap over this offseason.

He definitely needs it if we’re going to win any championships in 2026.

    • Bringing something “Stetson-esque” to the table ain’t happening, UGA football needs something “Gunner-esque” to move forward, #14 is currently writing his way into UGA lore, do believe he’ll add to his UGA status with “that one thing” this year, don’t know whut it’ll be, pass, run, tackle, checking fans tickets at the turnstiles, play call, cheer leading, it will be something, but not something he’s already experienced…GO DAWGS!!
