Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
The Falcons Are Finally Flying without the Blinders
For years, the Falcons seemingly overlooked the wealth of NFL-ready talent just 40 miles away in Athens. They're changing that, with @rustymansell_ reporting that over 30 Falcons staffers are expected at UGA Pro Day tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/S8gHtCzJ0y

our beloved falcons are always going to suck… the fact that we let the saints one up us and leave us in the « nfl basement for losers » should be considered a felony.
I’ve been saying for years that if the Falcons would draft players from around the southeast that people liked in college, they may still not win, but at least people would watch more and continue following their favorite players. It’s less of a business risk than drafting someone from across the country from a no name school and conference in my opinion.
Said that all along. My wife, a Longhorn who doesn’t give two shits about NFL, was excited to buy Houston Texans season tickets when she found out they had the chance to draft Vince Young. Instead they chose Derek Carr from Fresno I believe and my wife hasn’t mentioned the Texans since then.
Debates about which would’ve been better aside, it’s a business and drafting VY would have put a lot of new butts in seats. It’s the same with the Falcons. Draft the local heroes and you’ll draw new fans. And if they’re Dawgs, you’ll probably win more games.
I know what you mean. I adopted the Saints as my NFL team when I moved to the MS gulf coast area over 20 years ago, but I also closely follow the teams with the most Dawgs. Recently the PhillyDawgs, and it looks like the Raider Dawgs may be next up!
Took a linebacker…. next pick off board was Nakobe Dean…. next pick took a linebacker… next pick off board was Channing Tindall….. took a wide receiver once named Jamie German….. passed on WR named Hines Ward… you cant make this up.
It was a long time ago, but if my recall is correct Ray was a try-out and not a draftee. And he hung right well…survived until being cut as they were breaking training camp. He was an athlete for certain!

That’s how I watch NFL (when I’m suffering CFB withdrawals). I look at the rosters of the two teams playing and see which Dawgs I can support.
It extends to any UFL/XFL/CFL games I may find myself watching as well.
I’m scared the infection will run the wrong way.
I know it’s not this simple but they coulda had Nick Chubb, Jordan Davis, or Brock Bowers.
Or Jalen Carter

That Jamie German pick is where they finally lost me. I just viewed the Falcons as the embodiment of the Idiocracy.

Actually, the Failcons did draft a UGA player in on of their first drafts. Only he was a basketball players they tried to make into a tight end,
That’d be Ray Jeffords! Excellent cager in the SEC but, you’re correct, he didn’t play football at UGA.
