Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
I may have told this story here before but when I was in the USAF and stationed in Germany, I met a big guy who joined the Army just to get out of town as fast as he could. He was the long snapper in high school and told me he snapped the ball over the punter’s head in the state championship game and the other team scored and they lost. He couldn’t live it down.
I love the fact that I never know who our LS is until he graduates and (usually) wins some awards. Here’s to never hearing this guy’s name again for the next 4 years.
It’s always a wonder to me that the long snapper on punts is the first guy down the field. These new Long Snappers will never experience the hard nose life of the old centers. If you know what Bucking the center is your old. I used to snap in college intermurals and a guy once kept knocking me on my butt after every snap. I finally just fell back and kick him in the nuts. He was much nicer after that.
