It’s odd how the Star position has a history of this. Brini, Poole now Aguero. Must be Kirby’s pet position.
This is why depth is so hard to build now. Add in Bo Hughley and you have two position groups where depth is going to be an issue.
I’m looking forward to having my son’s 12U rec league bball team back together once Isaiah Canion chooses Georgia. He, Dinkins, and Isaiah Gibson lead the team to an undefeated season…lol.
I think Hughley is odd man out. That may indicate there isn’t a starting tackle spot up for grabs.
I think star is the most difficult position to play on the defensive side of the ball. You have to be physical like strong safety against the run yet athletic enough to take on a slot receiver in 1 on 1. You have to be able to set the edge and come on the blitz.
Tykee Smith and Javon Bullard made it look easy.
Do you think this is a situation about playing time or does Joenel think he is undervalued and seeking more $$?
In the NFL at least you can lock down a player for multiple years, in CFB everyone is a free agent/ in their contract year.
I think this was a mutual decision.
Always thought Joenel was just par. Had some good games but more games that tackling and coverage were issues. I would have liked to see him stay and compete, however, to the team that he transfers to, let’s add them to our schedule.

I said here before the Sugar Bowl that Aguero’s lack of availability didn’t really bother me. Can’t say I’m sorry he’s moving on. We seem to play better at Star without him.
