We’ve discussed this in the slow offseason months, but looks like a local act will be performing in Athens.
Let’s Tie Dye Out Sanford, while we’re at it.

Maybe he’ll kick it off with a signature, “Evenin’ Everybody!”
Assuming JB will be singing with the band, and not playing it solo?
Derek Trucks played the national anthem at the Georgia-Florida game 5 or 6 years ago and I think he just played it by himself if I remember correctly….
That’s cool about Derek Trucks, was that just random, or is he a fan of either team?
I think he is from Jacksonville….
Nice. Good to hear they’re using home town talent.
Seriously…It is frustrating to the level of the Falcons refusing to draft UGA players (until this year, obviously.) Both just patently refuse to acknowledge the homegrown talent right under their noses…
Ohhh kay. B52s in the 70/80s, REM 80/90s. Missed WSP…must be 90/00s? Just don’t know them or their music. A little history please.
They have a cover version of Godzilla that is better than BOC in my opinion.
Been around since 86. Best kept secret in America besides the Epstein files
Wide Spread Panic was playing Athens in the mid 80s. Had a buddy, David Blackmon, that used to play with them some when he wasn’t playing with the Normaltown Flyers or others.
Great jam band.
The only people that I know who enjoy their music also enjoy mind altering psychedelic drugs.
Their live albums are jammy, so if you’re not into that, pick any of the studio albums and have a listen. They’re great musicians and have a variety of styles, but because they’re mostly rock and they’re from Athens, they’re considered “southern rock.” If you like what you hear, check out the live shows. They were HUGE when I was in school in the late 90’s. And I was at Panic in the Streets, just don’t remember much of it!
WSMFP>>HBTFD!
(N.B. to all those who don’t noodle, this does not mean the first thing is greater than the second. Just jam band nomenclature for moving from one song seamlessly into the next)
