I opined about this a lot last year, but the CFP voting in 2024 that allowed Indiana an opportunity to receive any level of credibility needs to be studied. Not only do they boast a negative Net YPP, they have 0 – wait, let me add that up…carry the one, please excuse my dear aunt sally, exponent…yeah, that’s a zero – ranked wins. Somehow, I think Georgia, or any other SEC team for that matter, who carried that metric would find themselves on the outside looking in.
Likewise, how Brian Kelly continues to hold gainful employment is a mystery to me. When South Carolina has a better performance record than you do, you should show yourself the door.
Let’s offer Cignetti a home and home and see how quick he comes up with some lame ass excuse.

I love this idea.
Post of the day.
Someone refresh my memory as to why Indiana is suddenly a powerhouse?
*puts on tin foil hat* Because a certain 4-letter network wanted a feelgood story tied to former IU coach Lee Corso.
If we wanted Coach Cignetti’s opinion, we’d slap his Mama’s deek out of his mouth.
Unfortunately, the expanded playoffs put microphones in front of unaccomplished turds for no good reason – sigh emoji.
The CFP was never anything but a ploy to promote the BIG at the expense of the greatly superior SEC…the Yankees at ESPN, etc. got their way. Indiana is a great basketball school with a bad football program..but everyone is supposed to believe they are a football powerhouse…ridiculous.
They aren’t even a great basketball school any longer. They are a bad basketball school with a delusions of grandeur football program.
I know I said this the last time we all listened to that damn yankee talk but his accent and smugness is got damn irritating.
Mumme Poll for the Win!

When Vandy has more Top 25 wins than you do, you need to keep your pie hole closed.
College football is much like politics. People have a belief system & no amount of evidence to the contrary will change their minds. The prevailing belief at espn is that the big1? is superior to the SEC, or should be, and everything reported on is slanted that way or proof that is correct. We know the truth of the SEC’s superiority. Dominant in national titles, number of different teams with natties, number of NFL draft picks, etc. The evidence is there, espn’s & the big1?’s job is to prove otherwise. It is annoying they’ve been given back to back titles for ammunition. Hoping the Dawgs can rectify that this season.
They also believe that the South is inferior to them, culturally, educationally, everything else-ly. So that feeling of superiority that oozes out of their pores makes its way into these stupid a$$ decisions. Also, I’m pretty sure many of them have actually said that the only reason the SEC has been dominant for so long is because we cheated and paid players before NIL. Meanwhile, schools like Michigan and OSU are pure as the driven snow and have never done anything wrong.
Or, for those of you with short attention spans… FTMF!
The nuance in the argument is that SEC teams backload their schedule so there is a cupcake at the end of the season rather than all at the start, say like scheduling Old Dominion, Kennessaw St and Indiana St (FCS school!) who…checks notes…Indiana is playing to open 2025.
Go Owls!
Indiana just isn’t very smart
I can’t help but remember my “Forrest Gump” quotes; “Are you stupid or something?”
I’m guessing it must have been those quality losses that make them a powerhouse.
Lol, chick is out there jabbering about scheduling. Our Coach lets our players’ pads talk about scheduling and then in victory calls out Hollywood Fans, Refs trying to rob us with calls and holding the conference trophy talking about what the schedule was like! Don’t say bleep to their undisciplined arses, just point to the scoreboard and laugh. I recommend the Cape Fear theater laugh volume, which the few Flurida fans left at the game hear from my crew
