Welp, if you desired that Coach Boom returns his impact to the Georgia defense, you’re outta luck.
There was lots of chatter that Will’s impact was missing from the team last year. Let’s see how it plays out, but no doubt his fire and impact will be missed.
Are we sending him out for another mission?
It’s Threat Level Bulldawg in Nashville!!!!
Hoping he lands in Tuscalooa.
He’s had a helluva career, and unless the man is an incredible spendthrift — and Boom just doesn’t hit me as that — he ought to have multi-multi-multi-generational money in the bank. Hell, he might still be getting buyout checks for all I know.
Anyway, I don’t care where else he went and what he said while he was there, Champ’s a DGD if there ever was one. I wish him a great and relaxing (if he’s capable of such) retirement. With a dozen or more years left to go myself, I’m envious of all retirees, but especially those who are able to ride off to the sunset relatively young and with shit-pots full of money. – PDawg30577
Coach Boom is definitely a legendary DGD that will be sorely missed. Even his days as agent Muschamp FU has yet to recover. His return home working with Kirby was nothing less than perfection. Hopefully he’s just looking to enjoy some family time before returning. I can’t see him just relaxing without a challenge.
Well, according to Seth Emerson’s story in The Athletic today, BOOM is still on staff. The story was about CKS comments on the Saban returning to coaching rumors, with this section added:
“Smart also made light of the story, while shooting down reports that another former Saban assistant — Will Muschamp — was no longer on Smart’s staff. Muschamp, the former Florida and South Carolina head coach, has been a quality control assistant the past couple of years, and remains at Georgia despite not appearing in this year’s media guide.
“Well, considering y’all reported erroneously that Will was leaving, I was going to fill y’all in that Nick was taking his spot,” Smart said.
