As an Added Bonus, Tuck Fech

A reader shared the Stingtalk thread that still continues from the soul-crushing loss on Black Friday. It’s worth a read for your daily schadenfreude, if anything else, but I loved this one:

Compete for a CFP position. A win against a vastly overrated FSU, and fraud in Miami, and an aberration where a beat to hell Georgia team played under the influence of apathy for the better part of four quarters, and this team is CFP bound, baby.

If there’s one good thing, it gave them enough to crow about to be hopeful for next year, and make another loss all the more painful. Credit to Haynes King and the Jackets for what they did against us, but we were playing with broken parts and an impending SECCG while they were playing with house money.

Be sure to get your tickets for next year’s Black Friday early. The Nerds are promising to buy them up in the thread, so it’ll be a “home game” at the Benz.

They must not have history classes at Tech. We’re kind of familiar with MBS.

  1. Go ahead and ride HIGH during talking season, Techies. It’ll just make you fall harder come football season. Go DAWGS!

  2. A Tech “home game” at the Benz would still mean a majority UGA crowd.

    • Exactly I think the best they can hope for is a neutral site game and that is unlikely. Further, it would have to be a disappointing season for UGA.

  3. I’d rather go to CMR field at BDS, little desire to go to the Benz.

  4. When a fan base has rambled their way through so many shitty seasons of woulda, coulda, shoulda and in dire need of a hycolonic, nerdfootball has arrived at the mediocre curb of participation trophy championships…cause at the north avenue fucking trade school…you can live that lie…

    • ^This!
      with one minor correction:
north avenue fucking trade school “for boys”

  5. That was posted back in December, when that gtu student still assumed he’d get a travel visa to re-enter the country.

    • That was peak delusion. They were high off an “almost” and felt the gap had narrowed. They prepped all season for that game, Georgia hadn’t, and it showed. Kirby used to practice defending the Johnson offense each practice, might need to revisit that for the principles of defending mobile quarterbacks alone.
