So Bad, It’s Good Enough to be a Head Coach in Dallas

Interesting data from the Bulldawg Report:

In case you can’t see the data clearly, here it is a little larger:

Funny, I have a hard time remembering 2016, but apparently it was a worse year than the 2015 debacle with a now NFL head coach.

What else stands out to you? Curious for your thoughts.

  1. 2024 was the first time a team that Mike Bobo called offensive plays for won any kind of championship. If my math is right that championship efficiency is 5.8%.

  2. Pretty amazing how much better we were in the years we had good players. Its almost like a correlation or something.

Not shocked 2016 was uglier on offense than 2015. We did win more games and had two games where the ball hit the ground once. 2016 was a lot of “chuck n duck” with a freshman qb.

    • Had pretty much totally forgotten about “The Joe Cox Experience” ’til that gem of a chart came out….

    • Mostly, but that doesn’t explain 2007 and 2008 with Stafford, MoMass and Knowshon. I can’t really see perfect causation in those years, but having NFL receivers does appear to help.
